@Lorfarius Good. Its just so many ppl on here claim to be using actual hardware when infact there using emus.Paul3ukisbest or whatever is name is tried to claim he was using a real C64 once, when obviosly he was using frodo, he forgot to remove frodos on screen icons.
@bazfanv2 Nah I always make sure to point out when I'm using an emulator. I had a few people saying the same thing when I was doing Neo Geo vids and ended up showing the system off (again) on cam just to prove it. I'm clearing out a big chunk of my retro gear these days though as I've decided to concentrate on NES games. I did pick up a MAME PC (vid on channel) about a month ago so once that's working I'll start using it for more general stuff, again I'll point this out in the vids.
This is a realy good example of how an Amiga conversion should be.Looks almost identical to the arcade one,the music actualy sounds better on this one to me.Just a few enemy characters missing on this one (4 or something) and a couple of differently designed levels.I wish all amiga conversions were this acurate.
Its really good on the Amiga eh? I never played this game on the arcades.. I played with it only on the Amiga i had. And it looks almost identical to the Arcade version... Maybe there are a few levels missing however ? I dont know for sure.
Great video dude, nice to see you got WHDLoad up and running. My hdd has packed in on my other computer which is a real pain, it had all my WHDLoad saves and installers, amiga programs, can't transfer anything between Amiga and pc either at moment. Great version of NZ Story, it is clearly miles better than the PC Engine one.
If you want an easy to use WB3.1 setup for PC then try tracking down a copy of Amiga Forever. Full WB setup and the ADF's are on the CD so you can transfer it to normal floppies.
Great Video mate. :) Yes, it was me that did a video of the Speccy version and posted it as a video response when you did the video of the PC-Engine version. :) The Amiga version looks spot on to the Arcade version. :) The Speccy version is a good conversion as well. :)
I want an Amiga....and this looks like a very nice game for it.

@MattTheSaiyan Probably the best arcade port there is :)

Wooo Whdload :)
I have this version on disc, and whdload on my 600, and also on the nes cart. The nes version is not as good as the Amiga version.

Never had the Amiga version as a kid, even though it's ironcally the version I played the most, But I owned it on the Amstrad myself.
My personal fave is the Mega Drive version, though that's technically the sequel.

Thanks. You should consider doing an 8Bit wars on this. Just about every 8Bit system known to man had a copy.

I used a CF adaptor from ebay and spent about 3 days just copying WHD games over, dread to think having to do it again if the A1200 died on me :|
Lorfarius 2 years ago
I knew my hdd was on the way out for ages but the pc kept on going and i convinced myself i wouldn't need to get one,so spent the money on games.
Retrosofer 2 years ago
I've got a DVD packed with all the KGWHDLoad packs and ADF's if you want a copy? Couple of GB's worth of full games in there.
Lorfarius 2 years ago
When you got the hard drive fitted in how did you actually transfer WHDLoad onto the AMIGA along with the classic workbench?
I want both on my setup once I get a chance to put the bloody thing in.
I also have the problem that I have to install a doggey 3.1 workbench because one of my 3.0 disks had a virus on it.
wrestletube1 2 years ago
I used a Compact Flash adaptor that plugs straight into the PCMCIA slot. You can pick them up pretty cheap on ebay if you buy them from Hong Kong.
Lorfarius 2 years ago
I also used WinUAE to setup CWB and if you are doing the same you can make it use a downloaded ADF of WB3.1 to do the initial setup.
Lorfarius 2 years ago
I have that already but how do I get around setting the bugger up?
wrestletube1 2 years ago

You should consider picking up a Compact Flash card and setting it up as a HD. Very easy to do and make it much easier to get titles over there.

I got this with my Amiga 'Batman' pack. One of my favourite games for the machine. Forgot about that warp zone on level 1!
sscott1000 2 years ago
I think this was as close to a Mario game that the Amiga ever got especially with those warp zones.

Nah, that prize goes to Giana Sisters. A direct ripoff.
