  • @PLINKINATOR Good choice, look after it & if needed put a plate in front of the screen to avoid shooting the screen. The battery is cheap enough so you'll soon be checking out power from different pellets to help find the best for your gun.

  • Very nice review. Do they make any kind of portable lights for the Chrony, I mean besides the big heavy ones you have to plug in?

  • @lockpicker2k Never needed extra lighting myself so I've never looked into that side of things, maybe other veiwers have an answer.

  • Splendid video mate! I recently purchased the same Chrony and I must admit that I never realized just how important this tool really is. I don't know how I managed so many years without one, this is definitely a must have for the airgun enthusiast.

  • @shield400 Once you get one, regardless of make or type, over time they get more usefull

  • nice vid dude! never to old to learn.

  • wait, sorry, I'm mixing up technical terms, power is equal to the weight times the speed divided by the time of measurement!

but force/power are interchangeable in this sort of case aren't they?

  • @noobler9 Not sure that I follow that.

    Speed x speed X weight + 540240 = power.in ftb, that's all I know.

That's all I need to know to check my rifle is non FAC (UK power limits)

  • whoa. that's why? ohh wow, so glad I use the metric system :O

force = mass times acceleration, acceleration can effectively be considered the same as speed if you measure it just leaving the barrel

thusly, power would equal the weight, times the speed

    sweet

  • @noobler9 Metric ? Is that how Joules is measured ???

  • Hi Darrel great video as usual I am with you though I prefer the Combro CB-625 much easier to use and I found this one very fussy about light and direction I think the best one has to be the Skan chrono

  • @Ghostmaker1970 I hope I've made the right choice as It will be used not only with my air rifles but rimfire & possibly C/F in the future.

  • @gunvidder Sorry Darrel they are a good chrony I just did not get on with it I had the full kit, Lights, Printer and pc interface software. For what I do the combro CB-265 is great but for down range energy retention etc the F1 is good as long as the light is ok. My friend and Gunsmith Dave Welham (AirMasters88) Uses the Skan Chrony and he swears by it.

  • @Ghostmaker1970 Those Skans look rather good but more expensive, the prof'' one is well over my budget.

Just like guns, ammo, scopes etc we all find a fav' & that's what martters, something that works for you.

Even if your best mate laughs his head off & claims it's rubbish.

    Who cares what others think.

The Combro is brilliant in one way, slip into your pocket & use it in the field.

Much easier to have a plink & keep an eye on when low air drops the power.

  • @gunvidder I do hope you best mate does'nt do that! lol Like you say the Skans are rather expensive if you're a gunsmith or something like that then maybe worth the extra money but the F1 for what you need it will be fine. If I gave a damn what people think I would not own a BSA R10 !

  • @MrAirgunlover Does exactly what it says on the "tin".

  • Great Chrony Darrall great Vid 5*

  • @TamrynRimfire Well made, much prefered to the small one that goes on the end of the barrel.
