I had their residential and it disconnects often when you play MMORPGs. I switched over to BUSINESS class and now it never discs. Been 3 months flawless. Conclusion is that their residential sucks.
If the modem was not added to the account, he would get the activation screen for sure. The modem has to be provisioned to the account for it to work. It wasn't this kids fault.

No it want becuase MY computer...I had no firewalls or anything ON!...Comcast admitted it was THEIR mistake...They gave me the wrong ac adapter with the gateway and didnt work right so i told them i didnt want it and they tried to turn my old modem back on and couldnt do it over the phone and had to send a tech out to do it for some STUPID reason!...what are they hiding!

I just spent 5 hours on the phone with 13 reps total to get a simple problem fixed.
They care NOT about customer service. I was even left on hold a total of 53 minutes before coming back and hanging up on me.

As a cable tech you need to shut off all firewalls and antivirus protection. there is somthing on YOUR pc blocking activation
