  • does anyone know who the maker of their grandmom's china is??

  • The dining room started out fine. The only thing I liked in the room was the beautiful turquoise buffet.

  • I love David but this was too much! So much was going on that it made the whole room look cheap and busy! Love the ceiling, the chandelier, and the rug but those chairs, the side table, the chair covers; uhhhh!!!

  • He does this on all his projects. Have fun noticing them and pointing them out. too many of the same objects instead of making a statement with one. Worse he mostly does it in a straight line which makes it too anal and silly. I do interior design and the only time it was right was the 2 taper candle holders which is fine cause it goes with the scale of the dining table. And the two lamps on top of the blue sidboard. Even the candles were placed parralel & positioned the same from eachother.

  • I only like watching the transformations but i hate how David always buys too much of the same object or pairs the same object side by side or on its other side. He does it all the time & its a design no-no. It looses the pieces uniqueness & value by introducing it again. for example the blue small vases on dining table. It already has the 2 sets of taper candle holder. no need for the blue vases & worse in a symmetry straight line. same on the fireplace, introduced a blue object on the ends.

  • I agree too much color. Your eyes dont focus. Eyes will B too busy trying to bring the room together while another color distracts. This is only well received with exuberant or color obsessed people. I dont care for the art. Again only for people into whimsy. I only liked the blue sideboard as an accent, the chandelier (which is played out already by zgallerie)

  • I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE David!! The painting of the the dog is my favorite. I am trying to get a painting of my yorkie. So happy to have such a talented designer.

  • I LOVE this room! The rug and painting are so cute. And the see-through chairs are awesome too.

  • I Love those lucite chairs! David is becoming one of my favorite designers after Candice Olson.

  • i appreciate color so I can appreciate this project. I LOVE DAVID!!!!

  • to much color and that picture of the dog?those chairs dont feel part of this design.

i think he went overboard with this project.

look like a cheap project with little or no effort.

  • Correct. no effort at all and the art was not for everyone. Do folks always pretend to like what the designer does cause they are on tv? I know most of it is scripted as I have been on HGTV shows but not everyone is into colorful, corny, whimsy stuff. Too much color here and if you know design and how to spot inexpensive stuff and no effort design, all these accessories are from Zgallerie
