I think, the only human in the world who loathes this song is the current Nerina Pallot herself. :) She is ashamed of the little cacophony of this music now, but I think she is wrong, I prefer this song to the light crappy poppy mainstream pop songs...

Beautiful video. For some reason, this song reminds me of comic conventions (& not because of the title, mind you). :)The song & video are well paced & put together. They tell the story simply and effectively. The camera shots make it appear like a Hollywood film. The post production color grading and camera speed are also very nice. Simple & effective. Great.

She has released two albums so far, Dear Frustrated Superstar (which features this single Alien) and then the superior Fires. She is working on a third album at the moment but a release date hasn't been set.
