  • Zane, Zane, Zane, Ouvre le chien - "open the dog"!!!!???

  • Didn't Lenny Kravitz play the solo on this?

  • @moviecodswallop

    Yup. But not this version.

  • Ha! Kewl! At 3:22, part of the bridge from Space Oddity was played! For 4 seconds.

  • @kiddycato You're absoutely right

  • @kiddycato

And at 3:44 he quotes "All the Madmen"

  • I bloody love this tune!

  • Thank you english people to give me David Bowie!!!!! (and many others, of course...)

  • Is that Naveen Andrews (Sayid in "Lost"), the first guy that appears in the bicycle?

  • incredible!!in this videoclip appeares sayid from lost!!!

  • hm . .. the english have free standing houses, didn't know that.

  • what year was this done ? does anyone know ??

  • David Robert Jones,I Genius!!!!

  • great song! a little bit under-rated I think!

  • Wow...what a song!!!!

    beautiful impact from bowie

  • This must have been very easy to film. Half of it is clips from the show, and for the rest of it the director must have had two instructions - 'walk, David! Walk!' and 'Strum the guitar! Strum it!'

    Great song, of course :).

  • Was fortunate enough to watch the series -the first episodes. I found it Queens of all places. Great song too.

  • Great song, but I'm not a fan of the vid.

  • Ha ha! The guy from Lost is in this vid! Good song by the way. Love Bowie's voice

  • The guy from Lost was the main star in the TV series Buddha of Suburbia which this song was the theme tune for! Always loves Bowie's voice!

  • I know the cul de sac with the bungalows where Bowie was filmed, it's in Bromley. Near where I live. Didn't know about the video being filmed at the time! Lenny Kravitz plays the guitar solo at the end. Great song with lots of Bowie self references (Space Oddity, All The MAdmen & Bewlay Brothers).

  • @rogerbacardy

Ah, actually Lenny Kravitz isn't on this video version for some reason, but he is on the single version of this song. D'oh!

  • @DillPickleet: Yes it's him, I was astonished when I saw the clip the first time. Naveen Andrews is the name of actor... Great song by the way XD

  • omg, is that Said (Sayeed) riding the bike?

  • probably one of his most underrated albums - very relaxing indeed.

  • Margethemouse - The Buddha of Suburbia was Bowie's soundtrack to the 1993 BBC miniseries of the same. In my view, it was probably one of Bowie's best albums of the 90's, though very obscure. It is about an Indian youth from Bromley (Bowie's upbringing) who is sandwiched between the old world and his new London. The film stars Naveen Andrews, later the star of the Lost tv series.

  • was this album a soundtrack for a show?

  • WOW this is cool like this alot .

  • 03:42 - 04:15 <3

  • Zane, zane, zane, Ouvre the chein.

  • Open the dog??!!

  • Lol, yeah. He says it in this song. It was originally from his song All the Madmen.

  • nooooooooooooo non sapevo ci fosse sayd di lost!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is this a good movie? I'm thinking of buying it.

  • what a great song by Bowie! Didn't know this one b4...

  • Yes, wish i could go to New York... HAHA

I'm only 15 so i haven't seen David Bowie live at all...

And i just REALLY am desperate to, lol...

He just has the voice of an angel...

    I've loved him since i was 8 :D

  • @Lozzeii Does he still perform? I thought he stopped a year or so ago cause f heart problems or somthing

  • @Bowiefan1214 No he doesn't but i mean i wanted to try and catch at least a glimce of him hahaha... since i've missed my chance to see him live D:

  • @Lozzeii Dang! You got my jopes up for nothing :( Oh well, I wish I had been able to see him as well, but nope, I was born too late.

  • @Bowiefan1214 Dang, it is always hard when you get those jopes up :P ROFL... hopes* :D

And yeah i know... lol i was born in 1994 so you know, way too late :D If i was born 20 years earlier, it might have happened :P

  • @Lozzeii Oops, I hate typos. Yea if only he didn't have those heart problems. Plus it would have been awesome to see him as Ziggy.

  • @Bowiefan1214 Exactly!!!! I've always wanted to see him as Ziggy... I just loved the whole feel of his costumes and Ego... and obviously the hair!!! :D

Its a real shame, but you know his health always comes first!!!

  • @Lozzeii ahh the hair... i showed my little sister a pic of him as ziggy, she asked me why I sent her a pic of a girl. Kinda tells you a thing or two..

  • @Bowiefan1214 Oh yeah... Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.

Lol, Ziggy is my wallpaper on my phone, everytime someone looks over my shoulder while i am using it they ask "Who's she?" ROFL!!!!

  • @Lozzeii Still trying to get a tee, my parents hate shopping online so its like pulling teeth tryin to get stuff. Plus they dont really like bowie much.

  • @Bowiefan1214 that was just a figure of speech ROFL... but okay.

I have almost all t-shirts of him, i have a couple of jeans with his picture on them. I think i have a coat and my bedroom is plastered with his face ROFL!

  • @Lozzeii same with me, i am 15 and so in love with this man i want to see him desperately.

  • @toftheglider I am exactly the same!!!

I'd do anything just to see him!!!

  • Great song. The series was pretty good too, I was thrilled when I found it here in New York.

  • yeah i't sayid!

  • ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffantasic x

  • @ Maatoha

Yes it is Sayid from the TV-Serie Lost.

This Video is from 2007. Bye Nicole

  • Buddha of Suburbia was 1993

  • Hey! Isn´t that Sayid from Lost?

  • It is indeed.

  • This song is STUNNING

i have been to that lovely street on Google Street !!!

    love Bowie Susan xxx

  • Hey england6667, what's the name of this lovely street? I'd love to see it too. I might even take a trip from London to go see it - just re-watched the Buddha of Suburbia and adore the story and the song

  • It's such a wonderful song. I grew up in Bromley. It feels like it speaks to me, from my teen years...

  • Seriously. I'm guessing you went to school in the seventies. Did you ever see The Bromley contingent?

  • Auneye, right on! Bowie a PRODIGIOUS talent, so many wonderful songs over so many years.

  • A wonderful song- filmed right near to where i used to live !

  • If your not a Bowie fan, then you don't understand why some people get obsessed with him. If you get him, than you can't see why everybody isn't.

  • @Aueneye well said!!!!

  • I love Him!!!!

  • seems only David Bowie can touch on how a certain person feels. so true to me and fantastic at that

  • Hey this whole Album is really good after a bad breakup really heals the wounds, lol

  • Wow. This is a new song for me. After talking to a friend, I'm a few years older than she is, yet it appears as though she knows more songs than I do... I've chosen to find more of his songs.

Definitely in love with his voice. ^_^

  • Another David Bowie classic

  • It is a shame that the Buddha of Suburbia-album was so ignored by the public! It is a great album! Very underrated in my opinion!

  • I loved this series, wish they'd re-run it as modern TV is pretty shit right now.

  • Bowie & Bolan forever.

  • I like this vid...and Naveen Andrews is so young here!

  • Everybody is so young here, lol!

  • Oh my god! I didn't realise it was him! That's amazing!

  • I kjust this second read something that I don't think is true, on MyYahoo there was a caption that said Never Let Me Down was concidered to be Bowie's worst album, even by Bowie himself....how can that be?! I think it's a fabulous album, all of his songs are wonderful! Bowie if you read this (By chance) remember your work is F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S

  • I'm sorry, I cannot agree, I like those songs

  • @SuperActionFight nope this album is awesome.

  • i agree! here here!!! :D

  • Whoops-I'll take that back!!-looks like he is in Bromley in this!!!

  • Why on earth was David filmed for this vid somewhere in the US rather than in Bromley,SouthLondon, where this excellent series/drama was based??

Great song though-off one of his best ever albums of the last 20 years!!

  • wow, so autobiographical.

  • excellent, loved this song and the programme!

    :o)

  • Quando in un video si sommano due elementi che adori... David e Naveen :D

    Beautiful video, thanks you!

  • Thanks - I've been waiting for someone to post this!
