In the early 80's I loved their music but then as I got older my tastes changed and I sort of forgot about A-ha. A few weeks ago for no reason they came into my head and I looked them up to see if they were still playing. I noticed they had recently released an album (Foot of the Mountain) so I bought it out of curiosity. Well.......what a great album! I can now see what an influence they have had on so many other bands - especially Coldplay and Keane. Foot of the Mountain will become a classic

I agree that "Nothing is keeping you here" is fine as it is and probably requires no reworking but if A-Ha does a version of Shadowside that resembles that of their performance at Royal Albert Hall last year, it could be an epic classic - almost like a modern-day classic of the same league as songs like "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran.

Really nice song. Morten Harket sounds amazing as usual. Incidentally, this song is getting high-rotation airplay (4-5 plays a day) on "Radio Creme Brulee" - an American internet radio station that features current pop/rock music from both sides of the Atlantic alongside guilty pleasures, forgotten gems, and radio hits from the 80s,90s, & 00s. To listen, type "radiocremebrulee" in your google search field and it should be the 1st result. Hope A-Ha comes to the US in the next 6 months!!!

It has just been confirmed that this song will be their next singel in the UK (dont know if that means that they will realese Bandstand as a new singel for the rest of Europe...) I seriously hope they do a new version of "Shadowside" too. There were also some rumors about "where there is" being the second UK single. It wouldn't surprise me if "bandstand" was released as the next single for the rest of Europe.

Sounds like Keane. Or rather a-ha doing an a-ha track, then Keane came along, then a-ha did a new a-ha track which reminded me of Keane who came after a-ha.
