It seems as if these protestors really HATE democracy. 10% recounts show Ahmi won, polls before the election showed Ahmi WOULD win, but still they don't stop rioting.
Maybe the "rebels" really should migrate to another country, if they hate the vote of the Iranian MAJORITY?
Conservative's need to pay close attention to this, as we too will be faced with (dare I say it?) a socialist change thats taking place here in America... Organizations like ACORN and ABC news are already preping for our next election.
The people of Iran, want FREEDOM. Their sons and daughters giving their lives in this struggle. Majority under 30, protesting for some of the basic recognized freedoms of woman rights, right to assemble; address their government; surely the right to have their voices & vote heard through the election process and count. We as American should lend our voices to their cause. We need a communication source, allowing the Iranian People to know we hear their cry for FREEDOM. REMEMBER NEDA
Good for them...the younger generation of Iranians are a lot like us, stand up for your human rights...for democracy, live the way you want to live not how they tell you to live

The US is My country, not Corporate America, not the IMF, not the ADL, not NACCPs not the Federal Reserve, my goal and job is to have you move to Iran and China since you worship them so much.
Are you really comparing the protests in Iran, which is an example of what happens when a government flaunts oppressive or limitless power, to the American's wanting change? Bergred, Bush was no doubt an incapable president and I would never have a conservative in power, especially one with such fading intelligence and there was undoubtedly a need for changeBut comparing Iran's protest to those of America's rally for change is inaccurate and degrading to Iranians considering their conditions
On the contrary, they figured out how to find the razor thin margin they needed to have doubt on both sides. They stole the election with barely a 3 point margin.
The line I drew was a draft. If Bush had declared a draft for iraq, I would have joined the revolution. If Bush had won his second election with a 35 point lead, I would have joined the revolution as well. 35 points is unheard of.
If I were Iranian, I'd be marching in the streets.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU on this one, DEATH TO ALL THE GOVERNMENTS WORLD WIDE. There is no democracy anywhere in the world, not til we get rid of all the governments. Its time for all the poeple around the world the stand up. Iran has started.
Why do Americans have their balls in such an uproar here? Where was the outrage over Burma which was a far worse situation? (Btw, this looks like it was shot in California. American propaganda at work!)
God is a sh*t that does not exist in first place! If he exist for the time now he would had made an armagedon in USA and europe to we pay for the misery we make in world! In 2º i just remember that donkey bush and say apology to Russia, china and north korea, when he had spoken too much... so america thinks is powerful and leader of world, for our luck they only thinks but they will never be the next roman empire! They will burn with nukes if they try imperialism !
Why the great USA dont go annoy China, North Korea or Russia ?? they are afraid of something?? Im not a monkey that only watch TV, i have a brain, and i sure use it!!
Argentina does not support! Other countrys doesn't support and i waint a bump person, i understand politics and i either do not support these actions, as well i don't support war on iraq and Afghanistan ! Thouse people are traitors to their own country, many of them dont live their lives on Iran, they come to there from countries in europe and from usa, to cause disorder and anti-democratic behaver on Iran. Armadinajah had won rightfully the elections on Iran, we had the majority!! Just like president Obama wins on America. What would the people of the 'great nation of america' think about if they had thouse kind of protests on street when Barack Hussein Obama had won elections ?
get rid off arab culture in iran we are sons and daughters of kourosh kabeer death to palestine and their people you have cost my nation its dignity and heritage it is not enough that you robbed us of our culture and language and now you filthy dirty ruthless arabs are killing our sons and daughters i hope you are ready to answer to god almighty
If anyone is on twitter, set your location to Tehran and your time zone to GMT +3.30. Security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut Iranians' access to the internet down. Cut & paste & pass it on, add #iranelection to any tweets, see one below
I can understand why Obama is lying back with as little commentary as possible. If the protests are put down, Obama still has to deal with the old regime. I personally would like to see THE USA make stronger comments since I feel these protests are not just coincendental. I believe these protests just might be divine intervention set up to possibly cool down this current talk about nuclear war. Iran needs moderate voices right now. Still, Obama is playing it cool. I can understand that.
If Obongo had a pair of balls he would order an air strike to decapitate the Iranian leadership and bolster the popular uprising. Fuck the Moozlim lunatics in power over there, they hate us regardless of what we do. Obongo is only portraying weakness by being so passive. Now is a moment in history to utilize a popular uprising to rid the world of the menacing Islamic Republic and the leader of the free world is sitting on his hands while brave people die in Tehran in freedom's name. SHAME!
jukoda1, only a fool or a heartless person could accuse these people of being fifth columnists, they are fighting for their rights and that makes it everyone's fight.
Everything that Khameini and Ahmadinejad said about religion and the Quran and God is a sham. If they had been 1/10th as interested in God they would have realized that there is a reason why God doesn't want us to do bad things: There are lots and lots of unintended consequences that you can't control. It has little to do with divine judgment and it has a lot to do with the fact that you can choose your actions but you can't choose your consequences. If they believed they would have known.
I ain't falling for this shit, they couldn't get support to go to war with Iran on the basis of them having Nuclear weapons. Now they trying to get support to "Liberate it"" yeah right!! Fuck your Eurasian Union and your Eurasian Corridor!!!
If you knew your history you would understand why Obama can't speak out strongly. It would give the Ahmedinejad admin just the excuse they need to crack down even more brutally - they would say it is 1953 all over again, claim that external forces, led by the Americans, are behind it. The best thing he could do is not get publicly overemotional and start spewing rhetoric that would serve the Iranian conservatives first and foremost.
Pretty much. The right move here is denounce the violence and vehemently as possible, while staying politically neutral, and encouraging the Iranians to sort it out themselves.
Behind the scenes, provide any technical, and financial assistance to the side you want help with, but it must be done quietly so that the hard liners do not have an argument against the protesters.
If Obama backs the protesters then the Iranian government will use it against the opponents and call them CIA agents / Israeli spies etc and try and turn people against the movement.
USA and UK need to keep quiet and do things behind the scenes.
HELLO!?! they're already doing that. The initial response from the Iranian powers that be was that the protests were an american/western product. Even if that is so, why do we hold so much guilt that our involvement would be a detriment to the People of Iran who are already set against their government? I fear that this may be an example where lessons of the past are a crutch. this is an opportunity for redemption. The Iranian people need all the help they can get. Is a nod of support enough?
Its called covert financial and technical support. Yeah, the people of Iran can be helped, but ultimately this is a fight that we cannot get involved in. They must decide for themselves what they want for the future. We can only hope that more friendly people come to power.
I agree that this ought to remain a solely iranian struggle. But we should also call a spade a spade on foreign policy, and denounce what the government sponsored militants are doing to their own citizens as they tyranny and crime that it is.
What do you want him to do? Invade? America has done enough damage to Iran in the last 100 years, Obama is doing the right thing by not meddling.
Believe me, I'm sure the CIA and Mossad are doing things behind the scenes, rest assured your tax payer money isn't going to waste in terms of clandestine operations against Iran.
Another "blame America" leftist BS rant (& you add the Jews too!) Your ignorance of reality is only matched what must have been a very poor leftist indoctrination education. Ivy League grad no doubt. What about the evil done by the Mullahs & their puppet government to the Iranian people? Oh, that's right, it's the CIA & the Mossad in charge I forgot.
How is it that you Leftists hate liberty & freedom almost as much as you do yourselves. What's wrong with you?
Huh? I'm not questioning the fact that the Ayatollah is illegitimate, he's just as illegitimate as the Shah was. I
'm saying the US needs to stay out of it because they have a history of meddling in Iran that in the end has harmed the people more than anything. If you know anything about Iran's history and it's relation to America you would realize this. Here's one to get you started: CIA coup of Iran's democratically elected prime minister in 1953. Look it up
Obama, by his actions, is showing he does support them more than you can know. If we came out too strong in favor of the protestors, it would only harm them. Don't you read any history books?
Exactly, If Obama threatened Iran in any way, with sanctions, or with force, it would erode the support of the movement there and people would rally around the regime.
besides, sanctions only hurt the people, it didn't exactly work against Iraq and it sure as hell hasn't worked against Iran or North Korea.
In my opinion Obama is no better, nor any less a useless sack of liberty destroying poop than these Mullahs and the Basiji. I couldn't agree with you more and my prayers are with the Iranian people who seek the freedom that BO is so adamantly trying to destroy here in the US. As for you liberals in here that want to live in the past of what happened in 1953, this is 2009 if you haven't checked your calendars.
A virtuous death is the result of a happy life! Where in the qur'an does it say Allah wants you to live in suffering and fear?! Why should you suffer so that the Great Deceiver can prosper and live happily?
Iranians, keep doing exactly as you are doing. It is working. Khamanei is scared. Continue to hold PEACEFUL protests! No matter what religion or ethnicity you are, no matter what country you are from, it is unjust to for an armed man or woman to attack an unarmed man or woman without provocation.
Do not let him paint you as the bad guy! He is the bad guy! Have faith that Allah through Muhammad has given you the Qu'ran as a weapon AGAINST tyranny.
Khamanei made a fatal mistake when he declared Mahmoud the winner citing divine assessment, and then faltered by allowing enquiry and partial recount.
The Supreme Leader is supposed to be the voice of Allah. Allah does not make mistakes. By giving that moment of concession, he gives the Iranian people a chance to oust him, because it can be argued that he was either questioning Allah's command, or that Allah does not speak through him, and probably never has.
This is why our 2nd amendment rights are so important in the United States. It's our never ending war against those that would propel even our own government to something similar to what the people in Iran are now trying to fight for. God give them the strength to carry it through to the end.
