  • @bluegoldmacawman:Because he viewed Tyrannosaur chicks as threats.Trike's try to kill them off before they become a creature that can tear them limb from limb.

    Great video.Very accurate for a 1990's documentary.

  • Q: why would triceratops go on the offensive just all random?? (other than the rex was near the trikes turf)

  • Wtf? triceratops was going to attack and then in place confronting t-rex he tried to go away? And how did t-rex get up so easily?

  • Original is from:

"Prehistoric Beasts" (c) 1984 Phil Tippett

"The Dinosaurs!" (c) 1992 WHYY, Inc.

  • @38kari wildebeast will try and kill lion cubs. watch clash of dinos

  • Watching this while blazed is crazy

  • That triceratops is pathetic

  • They should teach this in school, seriously we never learn about dinosaurs or anything, just bullshit about the slavery trade.

    I want dinosaurs damn it!

  • Herbivores most likely Never attacked Carnivore young. Herbivores reacted in the Cretaceous probably the same as they do in the present time. I mean, Zebras don"t pick fights with Hyena cubs. Think about it. Most plant eaters try to avoid any kind of contact with meat eaters. Ceratopsians were much like Bison, they just did"nt go looking for trouble, but, would go into defense mode, in a split second if attacked or provoked.

  • FACT: Big check to that one.

  • Search for "Anoosh Pocket Dial" if you have any sense of humor.

  • You gotta love how at 1:04 the Trike is like, "Aight, whatevz. I'm done" and the Rex is all like, "Motha, where the fuck you think you're going?!?"

  • i love this animation its incredible! :D

  • omfg i used to own the movie that this came from i had it on vhs

  • baby crocodile sounds much back then

  • i hate baby t rex put a love it

  • i thought the trex had armor......

  • the ending is cute to me <3

  • Triceratops? I thought those things were namedf Tribottletops.

  • The first time I saw this animation was in 1996. It came with a sciencie magazine xD that my father bought xD

  • The Rex was just lucky that it's prey lost it's footing

  • what show is this?

  • Oh man! I haven't seen this since I was eight years old!

  • oh shit i saw this it was on microsoft dinosaurs program

  • @MistikaManiac T-Rex dont always kill Triceratops, Triceratops sometimes win, T-Rex sometimes win

  • @MistikaManiac T-Rex did not have the strongest bite, that goes to the Megalodon

  • @yes4roblox

T-Rex vs Triceratops is a 50/50 battle....Chances are Triceratops usually won when attacked by T-Rex.. Unless it was ill, wounded, or there was more then 1 T-Rex.

Studies show Triceratops did put up 1 hell of a fight an never wounded a T-Rex, but often killed them.. Further proof T-Rex was more of a hunter an not a Scavenger

An T-Rex had the strongest bite of any ''Land Animal'' but i agree Meg i believe is still beast when it comes to bite force.

  • @XxComablackxX1937 I know -_-. I know that T-rex and Triceratops have 50/50 chance. I know that it is a hunter and that person ment strongest bite "ever"

  • why don't they make cartoons like this anymore :(

  • aww that t-rex is sweet she protecting her babys how cute

  • I wonder why the hell a triceratops would have attacked a tyrannosaur.

  • Loved the Ceratosaurus vs Stegosaurus clip, loved this one until the Triceratops just so happens to be from strong as a fighting bull to weak as a mayfly just because it charged into a dune of sand. . . .

  • @Illiasc

That's because it tripped and fell idot

  • Wow, this time its was the Tri. who came looking for trouble while the Trex were minding their own buisness enjoying the sunset! haha!

  • a T-rex would've won cuz they have poison in their teeth

  • impressive...

  • this is the dumbest dinosaur show Ihave ever seen.

  • this is epic. it brings back my childhood.... it was aired when i was born XP tbh

  • That triceratops is a mad cunt

  • FACT: This wasn't an actual Triceratops but a Dickasaurus in disguise

FACT: People who like Tyrannosaurus Rex also tend to beat off to Tom Clancy novels

FACT: Triceratops was the bravest of all the dinosaurs

  • @shatterjack fact u need to shut the fuk up, tom clancy u serious

  • @shatterjack dumb ass im 12 and your a dumb ass

  • @NEWTubeDINO111 That was a cleverly constructed insult. You did well, but don't bother repeating yourself... You already have, you see.

  • @shatterjack u know what just shut the fuk up

  • Comment removed

  • @shatterjack bullshit. how do you know that the triceratops was the bravest, were you there, no i dont think so just shut up dumbass.

  • @shatterjack FACT: Triceratops was also dumber than T-rex.

  • FACT: Triceratops viewed baby tyrannosaurs as major threats and were very likely to try and kill them off before they grew into the huge adults. Much like how hyeans and other male lions try to kill off cubs from rival prides.

FACT: You have no idea what a fact is.

FACT: Tom Clancy mena nothing to me.

FACT: You can't judge bravery on fossils.

FACT: Triceratops likely won most battle against t-rex or they ended in a draw.

FACT: You shouldn't post "facts" when you have no real studies knowledge

  • @RexTyrannosaurus FACT:your a retard

  • @RexTyrannosaurus Calm down Dwight!

  • @havlorech Your response makes no sense to me. And I would say that at some point I probably cared..... but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @RexTyrannosaurus You don't watch The Office.

  • @RexTyrannosaurus FACT most animal fights prey predator, same species or competition, end without either animal dieing.

  • @shatterjack FACT:your a retard

  • @shatterjack FACT: Bears beats Battle Star Glalactica

  • Triceras have a knack for knowing which is a predator. BUT DONT ATTACK ALL THE TIME!

  • oh my god !!! when i was achild, i had a vhs of a documnetary, wich contained this, and many more anymations, it was awesome,i actually used to watch it everyday when i came back from childrengarden

  • That triceratops is stupid. It's almost as if he wanted to be eaten.

  • A wild Triceratops appeared! Go! T-Rex! Triceratops used Thrash! Triceratops attack missed! T-Rex used Roar! But it failed! Triceratops used Sand Attack! Lowers T-Rex's Defense! T-Rex used Bite! Its super effective! Triceratops used Thrash! Not very effective... T-Rex used Bite! Its super effective! Triceratops fainted! T-Rex gained 520 Exp. points! What? T-Rex is evolving! T-Rex evolved into Kick Ass Dinosaur!
  • The third one is probably when the three babies grow up and beat up the whole herd of tricerotops

  • shoulda went after the babies when the left there mommies safety under her legs. o3o no way it can beat an adult t rex unless extremely lucky lol

  • Caaan you feeeel the loooove tonight?

  • Aww the little baby is so adorable sounding

  • dat trice was stupid to attack that rex when it did nothing 2 it! its attacking 7 tons of mussel and over 50 teeth!!! no wonder it lost!!!

  • @harjitp Except that in a fight Triceratops would have stood just as good a chance of winning as a Rex...

  • @bejewzus T-rex could kill a triceratops any time. Its behind there frill thing. Major weak spot. Very hard to get there though without getting 5 fucking feet of hard ass horns stuck in your stomach.

  • I feel bad for Poor male T-Rex T_T But, Thank God that female T-Rex killed Stupid Trike.

  • attack fail :P

  • trex's teeth can break that easily. his teeth were really strong.

  • Not very bright.

  • Never mess with a mom... And I said this on Mother's Day.

  • This is such crap....Triceratops were herbivores, not aggressive and violent hunters like the T-rex.

The Triceratops wouldn't just attack someone like that, Herbivores avoid prey at all costs.

  • @unionofonion To be fair, this is a very old animation aimed at kids.

  • @unionofonion Someone hasn't seen nature outside their backyard... Herbivores can be at least as aggressive as carnivores, especially during their breeding season.

  • @SpelKille Don't you stop and think about what you say before you spew your ignorance and make an ass of yourself, dickhead?

I'm aware that herbivores can be just as aggressive as carnivores but herbivores wouldn't just appear out nowhere and attack a carnivore that clearly MADE IT'S NEST AWAY from other predators meaning, it found what it considers to be a somewhat safe area to guard and watch over.

You should really think before you judge people, dipshit.

  • @unionofonion Give me a fucking break, will you. I was rude, yes, but your first comment (which could be summarized as; This is crap because Triceratops was a herbivore. Herbivores are not aggressive and avoid predators at all costs) was completely ignorant, and I simply addressed that.

Now you're expressing an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT viewpoint, that contradicts the very comment I responded to, and are basically word-bashing me for not concerning an argument you NEVER MADE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

  • @SpelKille That's your own fault than for lacking reading comprehension instead of actually really trying to read it before responding and making a total fucking asshole of yourself.

    You brought this on yourself.

  • @unionofonion "Don't you stop and think about what you say before you spew your ignorance and make an ass of yourself, dickhead?" Maybe you should apply that criticism onto yourself, you fucking hypocrite.

  • @SpelKille Why dont you.

You're the one implying that I've never even studied the habits of predatory nature with that stepping outside comment, bitch and harping on me case when you didn't even fully read my comment, so fuck you, asshole.

You don't know a god damn thing about me and started giving me shit over your own misunderstanding. Idiots like you should be smacked silly and beaten some sense in to.

  • @unionofonion I was not going to respond to you again, this whole argument is bloody retarded, but "Idiots like you should be smacked silly and beaten some sense in to", really? That's fucking nasty, I thought you were the one being super-anxious about being judged on the internet, hypocrite.

By the way, you haven't pointed out which part of your original comment that SO OBVIOUSLY implies what I addressed that I misunderstood. And we talked about herbivorous nature, remember?

  • I would think a T-Rex knows how to not byte the armor of its natural favorite prey.

  • dead by sand

  • muito bom good

  • Doesn't ANYONE know that Tyrannosaurus was a friggin SCAVENGER?

  • @iRock54931 psssst. no such thing as an exclusive scavenger. only reason Vultures pull it off is because they use nearly zero calories with flight. an animal like a T.Rex couldn't HOPE to be an exclusive scavenger. plus, look at the evolutionary adaptations. 2524632 facts to prove it was a hunter. hell, even more so than any other Super Preds of the same period.

  • @RPGTKingpin oh PUH LEASE its thigh is LONGER than its shin so it wasnt fast so it COULDNT catch anything then its teeth! they could go through bone which PROVES that it needed to crush it to get to the meat and its arms were basically useless so it couldnt really hold anything

  • @iRock54931 to us, it wasn't fast. but it WAS faster than anything else in it's size range in it's habitat. plus, they could go through bone: exactly what it needed to take down things as heavily armoured as Triceratops and Ankylosaurus. it's arms shrunk as it evolved a more powerful head. it's eyes evolved to point forward alongside that evolution. Rex's eyes have a further forward focus than any other super predator i currently know of. more than Spinosaurus or Giganotosaurus.

  • @RPGTKingpin SO? it coudnt even CATCH a triceratops OR an ankylosaurus it MIGHT be able to corner it with another but the triceratops not a chance they are to powerful

  • @iRock54931 you're ignoring the facts i'm giving you. read more carefully, please. as i said, Rex was faster than Anky and Triceratops. as for power, no. they were fairly evenly matched. it depended on the circumstances which one won and which lost during a fight.

oh, and for your information, even lions have relatively bad chances when hunting, even if the opponent is similar in size to themselves. take that into perspective.

  • @RPGTKingpin pfft

  • @iRock54931 the eye positioning gave it excellent depth perception. a trait vital to a predator, but unneeded for a scavenger. the eyes were also set very high in the skull, giving it a longer range of vision, to allow it to keep an eye on it's target from a distance, so as not to be detected before it was sure it was in a good position to attack. it also had the largest brain size of any Super predator, and had very highly refined senses, smell and sight being the most well developed.

  • @RPGTKingpin yes it did have good smell so it could smell something that was already DEAD then it would go to the carcass scare off any other scavengers cuz it was ugly its eyesight? please it had bad vision so it mostly relied on its sense of smell or hearing

  • @iRock54931 like i said. sense of smell served a predator and scavenger equally well. it could track prey over distances, or find kills of other animals if food was scarce. it had eyesight comparable to modern day hawks. roughly 6 KMs of sight.

your information is out of date. please put some effort into updating it before coming to me about it.

  • @RPGTKingpin grrrrrrr

  • @iRock54931 sigh people...stop fighting...make a peace treaty...lets call it the Dino Treaty!

  • since when does a herbivore instigate a carnivore? -_-

  • HOLY ZOMBIE JESUS! Remember watching this when I was like 3yo.

  • I kinda thought this was an animation for little kids until 0:59

  • i coulda run off behind its back before it finds out or when its in the bushes, it shoulda peek out before going but.. too late

  • thats what that idiot gets why it would come out of no where and start a fight when it should know that it was going to be eaten.

  • dont fuck with a mother t-rex

  • It's too bad that Triceratops lost!

  • @RossyBoyT think that a tyranosaurus had aproximatelly the same weight of an elephant... so... think elephant.

Problem is most of the sound they produce is probably too deep for our ears to listen. but theirs could probably catch these sounds many miles away.

  • Eh what? Tricaratops woulden't have just walked out on that t-rex like that while it was still alive. woulda stood up and fight untill either it was dead or the t-rex was dead. But what ever.

  • TRUST JESUS AND BE SAVED!

  • @JesusPaid4You Your comment is irrelevant.

  • @JesusPaid4You don't be a religious prick ok? I'M gay and I'm lovin it btw :)

  • love it work it t-rex you hot sexy spicy lady!!!!!!!!! triceratops better luck time too bad bo hoo

  • @diplodicusfreak yes the dinos are sexy :)

  • awesome lol

  • wtf? is that a jp cartoon? cool.(ive improved my friendlyness).

  • at the beginning the trex sounded like a chainsaw!

  • this is so stupid, why did over 2 million people waste there time!

  • Triceratops:RAAAAAAPPPPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • For all people who say the attack was stupid, it wasn't.

It's proved that Triceratops and other hervivores used to kill Tyrannosaurus babies, because they didn't want their predators to live.

    Also,

    Tricera:Ooh babies! FUCK YOU!!!

    T-rex:Over my ass, bitch!

Tricera:*charges* *falls on sand* Oh shet!

T-rex:*kills Tricera* Fuck you, fuck you and fuck you!

  • @almacocoa98 agreed (with the Triceratops killing young Tyrannosaurus). in fact, i think that the rivalry between T-Rex and Triceratops would be similar to lions and Cape buffaloes in Africa.

  • @thephenon724 Well cientifics could discover a lot of the creatures of the past with today's animal behavior

  • @almacocoa98 XDDD :)

  • so 3d'ish

  • WHAT PROGRAM IS THIS?

T-Rex: Withdrawal it is! Now for my exact change! *kills Triceratops* Thank you for using your local Bankasaurus Rex.Punk.

  • Why does this hunk of crap have 1.9 million views?

  • LMAO! Play Triceratops off, Keyboard Cat!

  • Been trying to rally the troops for the brand new PREHISTORIC CHANNEL that just launched.

  • food for teh babehs :D

  • FFFAAAAIIIILLLLLL haha mah neis was laughing like crazy

  • Tragic.

Kinda reminds me of Haruhi (Triceratops) foolishly challenging Kikyo (T. Rex) to a deathmatch.

  • That was oddly violent and a bit weird

  • brings back such memories

  • lol I remember watching this is my science class cuuutte!!!

  • fake the tricertops turns and lets the t rex bite its neck, terrible and totally unrealistic

  • oh my god nostalgia'd so hard just now

  • PREHISTORIC CHANNEL just launched, with a serious emphasis on getting kids back into reading and writing.

  • This reminds me of The Land Before Time.

  • that triceratops thought his ass was jus gonna walk away at the end !!!!! THINK AGAIN!!!! Motha fucka... i would've done dat 2 if i was the t rex!!!

  • i think baby t-rexes look like velociraptors :p

  • T-REX USED SAND-ATTACK! ITS SUPER EFFECTIVE!

  • Holy Sh*t! That was Freakin' AWSOME, where was this when I was a kid?!

  • @J88Wolf PBS, I'm sure.

  • That triceratops is probably the biggest douchebag ever. "Oh hey, some other creature and it's kids. I'mma attack this bitch!" Ahhhh....karma...

  • rip to the triceratops that got owned by sand. that triceratops is stupid challenging a trex

  • lol that other dino became food

  • (Triceratops) lets see if i can kill u

    (T-Rex) You can't beat me >:)

    *Tricera falls in sand*

    (Triceratops) WTF

(T-Rex) Ha ha ha I got you now

    (Triceratops) nooooooooo

    *T-Rex brings down Tricera*

    PWNED

  • woohoo t-rex killed triceratops

  • shit i use to own this cd!! holy nostalgia

  • @conquistadorsREPBLC Can I kindly ask whats the name of the CD this videoclip is featured on?

  • Well... sad for the triceratops, but know.... it was the bad guy in that animation lol.

I mean come on... A nice family settling down for a goodnight sleep, when suddenly...from the shadows... THE TRICERATOPS ATTACKS!

If you ask me, that Triceratops was a jurrasic burgler >_> lol.

  • triceratops use take down... triceratops was hit with recoil

  • t-rex= OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM! :D

    triceratops= well, shiz.

  • i'll be pissed off of the babyies nicking my food and kicking me.

  • curse that t-rex!! triceratops is my fav dino!!!!!!!

  • hehe fail

  • Triceratops had a death wish.

  • Spinosaurus is the dengerioustest dinosaur on world

  • the litte trex's are cute

  • Looks like the cartoons they showed us at school in the 80's and 90's.

  • lmao looks like the herbivores do deliveries to.

  • I KNEW IT ITS REALLY THE HERBIVORES THAT ARE THE BASTERDS!!!!

  • I haven't seen this since I was 10 or 11. I remember this originally was from a PBS special in the early 1990's.

  • that tyrannosaurus sound more like a croc

  • 40 OWNED

  • the baby t rex were playing with his or her mother!so cute!

  • umm? :#

  • Fucking stupid Triceratops

  • I remember being a kindergartener when I saw this for the first time. It aired for the first (and to the best of my knowledge, only) time on PBS, and I was lucky to have my mom tape the whole series. But I never forget this scene. To this day, it still sends chills up my spine. The cries of the animals alone does it for me in the red hue of the setting sun, metaphoric of the waning days of the mighty dinosaur, my favorite two rendered with such vibrant panache and crisp animation. Beyond epic.

  • @BigBrotherMateyka Sounds like you'd love 'Walking With Dinosaurs' by BBC. You should check it out. =)

  • @MrChris7856 I grew up with the original Walking With Dinosaurs back in 1999 and absolutely loved it. For its day, the CGI was top notch and the puppeteer work was impeccable. Plus it was all done in decent taste with the primary intentions of educating the general public of these magnificent prehistoric reptiles. The BBC has always been top notch, and WWD was no exception.

Followed up by epic disappointments like "When Dinosaurs Roamed America" or...*shudder*..."Jurassic Fight Club". -_-

  • @BigBrotherMateyka I loved it as a kid too. I always found it ironic that the biggest science industries made the crappiest animations. I've never seen better than Walking With Dinosaurs. (jurassic fight club was a peice of shit. The animations looked like they were coming from some old nintendo game)

  • Is this in Soviet, Russia? Because T-Rex attacks Triceratops, not Triceratops attacked the T-Rex so the Triceratops is a noob and had an epic fail!

  • I guess the Triceratops decided to just leave instead of goring the Tyrannosaurus XD

In my opinion, the Triceratops' frill breaking the tooth from the rex is one of the best dinosaur scenes of all time.

  • Triceratops: "Thats right bitch! I want meat!

T-rex: "I don' think so biatch!"

  • TRICERATOPS GOT OWNED... BY SAND

  • @MistikaManiac You sir. JUST MADE MY DAY!

  • @Kaijen1 lol
