T-Rex vs Triceratops is a 50/50 battle....Chances are Triceratops usually won when attacked by T-Rex.. Unless it was ill, wounded, or there was more then 1 T-Rex.
Studies show Triceratops did put up 1 hell of a fight an never wounded a T-Rex, but often killed them.. Further proof T-Rex was more of a hunter an not a Scavenger
An T-Rex had the strongest bite of any ''Land Animal'' but i agree Meg i believe is still beast when it comes to bite force.
@XxComablackxX1937 I know -_-. I know that T-rex and Triceratops have 50/50 chance. I know that it is a hunter and that person ment strongest bite "ever"
Loved the Ceratosaurus vs Stegosaurus clip, loved this one until the Triceratops just so happens to be from strong as a fighting bull to weak as a mayfly just because it charged into a dune of sand. . . .
FACT: Triceratops viewed baby tyrannosaurs as major threats and were very likely to try and kill them off before they grew into the huge adults. Much like how hyeans and other male lions try to kill off cubs from rival prides.
FACT: You have no idea what a fact is.
FACT: Tom Clancy mena nothing to me.
FACT: You can't judge bravery on fossils.
FACT: Triceratops likely won most battle against t-rex or they ended in a draw.
FACT: You shouldn't post "facts" when you have no real studies knowledge

A wild Triceratops appeared! Go! T-Rex! Triceratops used Thrash! Triceratops attack missed! T-Rex used Roar! But it failed! Triceratops used Sand Attack! Lowers T-Rex's Defense! T-Rex used Bite! Its super effective! Triceratops used Thrash! Not very effective... T-Rex used Bite! Its super effective! Triceratops fainted! T-Rex gained 520 Exp. points! What? T-Rex is evolving! T-Rex evolved into Kick Ass Dinosaur!
@bejewzus T-rex could kill a triceratops any time. Its behind there frill thing. Major weak spot. Very hard to get there though without getting 5 fucking feet of hard ass horns stuck in your stomach.
@unionofonion Someone hasn't seen nature outside their backyard... Herbivores can be at least as aggressive as carnivores, especially during their breeding season.
@SpelKille Don't you stop and think about what you say before you spew your ignorance and make an ass of yourself, dickhead?
I'm aware that herbivores can be just as aggressive as carnivores but herbivores wouldn't just appear out nowhere and attack a carnivore that clearly MADE IT'S NEST AWAY from other predators meaning, it found what it considers to be a somewhat safe area to guard and watch over.
You should really think before you judge people, dipshit.
@unionofonion Give me a fucking break, will you. I was rude, yes, but your first comment (which could be summarized as; This is crap because Triceratops was a herbivore. Herbivores are not aggressive and avoid predators at all costs) was completely ignorant, and I simply addressed that.
Now you're expressing an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT viewpoint, that contradicts the very comment I responded to, and are basically word-bashing me for not concerning an argument you NEVER MADE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
@SpelKille That's your own fault than for lacking reading comprehension instead of actually really trying to read it before responding and making a total fucking asshole of yourself.
@unionofonion "Don't you stop and think about what you say before you spew your ignorance and make an ass of yourself, dickhead?" Maybe you should apply that criticism onto yourself, you fucking hypocrite.
You're the one implying that I've never even studied the habits of predatory nature with that stepping outside comment, bitch and harping on me case when you didn't even fully read my comment, so fuck you, asshole.
You don't know a god damn thing about me and started giving me shit over your own misunderstanding. Idiots like you should be smacked silly and beaten some sense in to.
@unionofonion I was not going to respond to you again, this whole argument is bloody retarded, but "Idiots like you should be smacked silly and beaten some sense in to", really? That's fucking nasty, I thought you were the one being super-anxious about being judged on the internet, hypocrite.
By the way, you haven't pointed out which part of your original comment that SO OBVIOUSLY implies what I addressed that I misunderstood. And we talked about herbivorous nature, remember?
@iRock54931 psssst. no such thing as an exclusive scavenger. only reason Vultures pull it off is because they use nearly zero calories with flight. an animal like a T.Rex couldn't HOPE to be an exclusive scavenger. plus, look at the evolutionary adaptations. 2524632 facts to prove it was a hunter. hell, even more so than any other Super Preds of the same period.
@RPGTKingpin oh PUH LEASE its thigh is LONGER than its shin so it wasnt fast so it COULDNT catch anything then its teeth! they could go through bone which PROVES that it needed to crush it to get to the meat and its arms were basically useless so it couldnt really hold anything
@iRock54931 to us, it wasn't fast. but it WAS faster than anything else in it's size range in it's habitat. plus, they could go through bone: exactly what it needed to take down things as heavily armoured as Triceratops and Ankylosaurus. it's arms shrunk as it evolved a more powerful head. it's eyes evolved to point forward alongside that evolution. Rex's eyes have a further forward focus than any other super predator i currently know of. more than Spinosaurus or Giganotosaurus.
@RPGTKingpin SO? it coudnt even CATCH a triceratops OR an ankylosaurus it MIGHT be able to corner it with another but the triceratops not a chance they are to powerful
@iRock54931 you're ignoring the facts i'm giving you. read more carefully, please. as i said, Rex was faster than Anky and Triceratops. as for power, no. they were fairly evenly matched. it depended on the circumstances which one won and which lost during a fight.
oh, and for your information, even lions have relatively bad chances when hunting, even if the opponent is similar in size to themselves. take that into perspective.
@iRock54931 the eye positioning gave it excellent depth perception. a trait vital to a predator, but unneeded for a scavenger. the eyes were also set very high in the skull, giving it a longer range of vision, to allow it to keep an eye on it's target from a distance, so as not to be detected before it was sure it was in a good position to attack. it also had the largest brain size of any Super predator, and had very highly refined senses, smell and sight being the most well developed.
@RPGTKingpin yes it did have good smell so it could smell something that was already DEAD then it would go to the carcass scare off any other scavengers cuz it was ugly its eyesight? please it had bad vision so it mostly relied on its sense of smell or hearing
@iRock54931 like i said. sense of smell served a predator and scavenger equally well. it could track prey over distances, or find kills of other animals if food was scarce. it had eyesight comparable to modern day hawks. roughly 6 KMs of sight.
your information is out of date. please put some effort into updating it before coming to me about it.
Eh what? Tricaratops woulden't have just walked out on that t-rex like that while it was still alive. woulda stood up and fight untill either it was dead or the t-rex was dead. But what ever.

@almacocoa98 agreed (with the Triceratops killing young Tyrannosaurus). in fact, i think that the rivalry between T-Rex and Triceratops would be similar to lions and Cape buffaloes in Africa.
I remember being a kindergartener when I saw this for the first time. It aired for the first (and to the best of my knowledge, only) time on PBS, and I was lucky to have my mom tape the whole series. But I never forget this scene. To this day, it still sends chills up my spine. The cries of the animals alone does it for me in the red hue of the setting sun, metaphoric of the waning days of the mighty dinosaur, my favorite two rendered with such vibrant panache and crisp animation. Beyond epic.
@MrChris7856 I grew up with the original Walking With Dinosaurs back in 1999 and absolutely loved it. For its day, the CGI was top notch and the puppeteer work was impeccable. Plus it was all done in decent taste with the primary intentions of educating the general public of these magnificent prehistoric reptiles. The BBC has always been top notch, and WWD was no exception.
Followed up by epic disappointments like "When Dinosaurs Roamed America" or...*shudder*..."Jurassic Fight Club". -_-
@BigBrotherMateyka I loved it as a kid too. I always found it ironic that the biggest science industries made the crappiest animations. I've never seen better than Walking With Dinosaurs. (jurassic fight club was a peice of shit. The animations looked like they were coming from some old nintendo game)

Tragic.
Kinda reminds me of Haruhi (Triceratops) foolishly challenging Kikyo (T. Rex) to a deathmatch.

BigBrotherMateyka 1 year ago
@BigBrotherMateyka Sounds like you'd love 'Walking With Dinosaurs' by BBC. You should check it out. =)
MrChris7856 1 year ago
@MrChris7856 I grew up with the original Walking With Dinosaurs back in 1999 and absolutely loved it. For its day, the CGI was top notch and the puppeteer work was impeccable. Plus it was all done in decent taste with the primary intentions of educating the general public of these magnificent prehistoric reptiles. The BBC has always been top notch, and WWD was no exception.
Followed up by epic disappointments like "When Dinosaurs Roamed America" or...*shudder*..."Jurassic Fight Club". -_-
BigBrotherMateyka 1 year ago
@BigBrotherMateyka I loved it as a kid too. I always found it ironic that the biggest science industries made the crappiest animations. I've never seen better than Walking With Dinosaurs. (jurassic fight club was a peice of shit. The animations looked like they were coming from some old nintendo game)
MrChris7856 1 year ago
Is this in Soviet, Russia? Because T-Rex attacks Triceratops, not Triceratops attacked the T-Rex so the Triceratops is a noob and had an epic fail!
bsilikepie 1 year ago
I guess the Triceratops decided to just leave instead of goring the Tyrannosaurus XD
In my opinion, the Triceratops' frill breaking the tooth from the rex is one of the best dinosaur scenes of all time.
