Heavens to Murgatroid! Who knew the late great Raymond Burr was so light on his feet!!! I'm blown away! For a heavy man, he could certainly "step lively"! As a huge fan of the late great Mr Burr, this clip REALLY made my day & my weekend! THANK YOU very much for posting it! CHEERS! :)
@JubalCalif He looks heavier here, because the screen image is stretched to fit the wider format here on youtube. Burr was heavy, but not this heavy in 1961. But as others have said, he was definitely light in the loafers.
I wish we got RTV here. This clip looks amazing. Most prints of The Jack Benny show are syndicated prints or worn out kinescopes. Thanks much for sharing. What a hoot!
Wish the whole show was up here -- Burr was adorable, charming and hilarious in the "Perry Mason" spoof on the episode. What a thrill it must have been for audiences then to see Burr cutting up like this. You can tell the studio audience was delighted!
@MedusaA - Agreed! My memories of that show were that it , like all the Jack Benny programs, it was hilarious. But this entrance made me laugh so hard when I first saw it, and when I saw it just now. RB moves pretty well for a big man!
This was the part they cut out of the VHS version of the show--what a rip off because this was terrific! Who ever knew Raymond Burr was so agile? It's a killer! THANK YOU for bringing this back!

ya know, and ya see, the video was edited at the point he stops dancing and jack tells him to wait a minute. i wonder if he was gasping for breath and they gave him a chance to say his next lines properly.
What a hilarious and sexy man. *sighs* This clip just made my day. Thanks so much!

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

This is a great bit, and Benny's shows are still funny after what? 50 years?!

This is TERRIFIC!!! Raymond Burr was such a sober character as Perry Mason. His entrance so out of style for him, which makes it HIL-AR-IOUS!!!!
Do you happen to have the whole show?!
