I really wish that there had been more of this at KISH. Unfortunately, most of the TA's that helped the disabled children there were... well, a little impatient with them. It was quite sad to see...
But I can say that from what I've seen, Prince Edward Island schools are very accepting to the disabled. It's awe-inspiring, really...
Totally amazing. You'd think this kind of positive attitude toward inclusion would be more common. I think some people might give it lip service, but they'd really rather have disabled kids stay home and not bug them.
