hold on how does this all work ecause it looks like your basically buying a box with a cd in it, how would they know if you have applecare or not? Do they Program it into their system?

You have to register it on-line. And they record the Serial Number of your mac.

apple care is to extend the warranty for two more yearsontop of the year you get with the apple machine.

Applecare for the Macbook is 250 dollars American. The CD that comes in the box is diagnostic tools to see what's wrong with your mac, like if its a bad harddrive or anything else. I haven't applecare yet, but its nice to have some peace of mind

whoa... 250 bucks!!! i guess peace is important but... i dont use a laptop for more than 1.5 years and i take very good care of them... so i guess i wont need to pay so much for all this... but great video! saved me 250 bucks!!
