Uninteresting cliche story, tedious combat, environments that stretch on for too long and passable sounds. Definitely NOT one of the best RPGs ever made.
The main flaw of this game is the story. Its too anime cliche, plus they thrown to many side plots, that are too forcefully resolve, or are not touched at all.
I don't think dungeons are to long, but random encounters rate is to big, especially with cheap monsters that require to complicated strategy (I hated those monsters with barriers), or have cheap attacks that are hard to evade, and deal big damage.
@TheReaverUltimate If you bought this game just for the story, or only to clear the main game, than I don't think you will like it. I would say 7.5/10 is enough for this.
I just finished the game for the first time about an hour ago. I just f#$%ing hate the dungeons, they were excruciatingly long, too repetitive, especially the last one. It was tortorous from beginning to end. The battle system is so-so, hack and slash, and towards the end of the game you just nuke the baddies with abilities. One thing I despised even more than the dungeons was that bloody pokemon-shitty-insectron thingy. Pokemon is horrible in its on, but copycatting it is even worse, nuff' said

I agree, video owner. Definitely not a FFXII killer. I didn't care for the story and boss battles...I'd admit it's a good PS2 game though, but not great.
I didn't find the dungeons too long, to be honest. I even found the fights very exciting, they were the reason this game didn't suck too hard xD
The cutscenes were ridiculously long, that's true. But what really pissed me off about this game was the story and the stereotype characters. Zegram and Seed were the only interesting characters, I think (and that Burton was like...SO unneccessary, I hate him x__x).

Rogue Galaxy was so amazing. I loved the story too. Lot of humor, love and friendship.
PS: Jaster and Kisala's attack was pathetic

This game is awesome! Here is what I would change though :
1) Remove Deego and the ridiculous story in Vedan
2) A frog that eats weapons?

Oh, and: I found the story around Steve and Simon very interesting. I found that scottish (?) accent of Simon completely unneccessary, but yeah.

The voice actors were also, well...yeah, I'm not a huge fan of english voice acting in japanese RPGs. I prefer the japanese voices.
