Sound factory was the shit. Compared to tadys trash music, fucking Gaga and other bullshit, it still is way better... house music for life.. i was 22 when this was out and SF rave scene was at the top of it's game.. im not gay buit yes, thank you gay population for giving us house music..
I have been looking for this for a long time. I always thought he said dancing on the front line instead of thin line, so when i'd google those lyrics I would never find what I was looking for.

love this track...and it got plenty of spins from me back in the 90s when i dj'ed regularly. i never knew there was a video for this song either...and also thank you for posting.
Shit, gay or not, this still was a huge hit in Denver, this ruled the club scene in the early 90's, and still does at many venues here. Hell Yeah. 3am.
Ha! Oh, the memories of dancing at Backstreet in Detroit to this track as the video played on the huge screen! Loved it back then, and it's still just as good.
This just brings me back to my first year of spinning records! "understand this groove" by sound factory was also a jam! 90's are making a comeback people!
I always heard of Sound Factory but I had never seen them before........this video was fun to watch as i had never seen it before. I remember this track and I really recall UNDERSTAND THIS GROOVE!!!! I love "TAKE ME BACK" will post it shortly
@GINGERALER Not in the least. I just get certain visions when I listen to music...like how I'd want the music video to work. Years before I even saw the video I had this song on vinyl. A street party was my vision of the song.
Frankly, I think it's a bit hypocritical to be a DJ and yet be homophobic, or racist.
This appeared on the Sound Factory CD, "Product". Emil Hellman's more blond and is clean-shaven on the cover of that CD. I love every track on Product, since it first was released in the mid-1990s. I think Hellman was ahead of his time, and still is! This is the first time I am seeing the video, living in North America, in Canada. I liked it and would like to see other videos as well!

As opposed to, what, a bunch of gals pawing all over each other for a video of this song? There's room for all kinds of vids ;)
desertlonghair 3 years ago 5
I was just being sarcastic. If I were to make a video, I'd have it as a street party with them singing and such in it.
djamnfx 3 years ago
Yes, because heaven forbid that something looks a "little gay". If you like House, you just need to get used to it.
