  • Wtf, 195 on a 9", I run 255's on my 9" up front. I thought my 315's looked stretched and weird on an 11" rear

  • federals are easier to stretch with coz they're soft compound tyres.

  • Bead Cheetah works wonders also

  • what sucks is when you finally get the beads to seat then realize you have it mounted the wrong way lol

  • pop bitch! LOL

  • thancks ^^

  • I had to do this with my go-cart tire but i used battery terminal cleaner because i didnt have starter fluid.

  • Anyone tell me what brand are the tires?

  • @Ranzy7 They are Federal SS 595´s

  • heyy i got 16's and whats are he best offsets for 16's?

    sorry noob much :\

  • Hahah nice!

  • WhoOOooo!

  • why do this?

  • it's so U can tuck the wheels in without fender rub or having to roll the fender wall out.

  • well.......really to make it happen? I mean that materials used and is safe conducion of the car? measure that has to have tires with the rim?

  • If stretching benefited you on the track, why wouldn't "real" race teams be doing it? I mean the ones with millions of dollars at stake. You're dingbats.

  • "real" race teams have the money to spend $500 per tire to get some with stiff wide walls and a wide contact area.

Some of us dont have the kind of money spend on tires, let alone anything else that will wear out after 50,000 miles or a couple of good lap times.

  • so whats the point in doing this then.. Most people do it get away with camber and no rubbing when trying to put a tire on but how about doing it the right way with either wider fenders or cutting and modding them to fit instead of killing your tires.. You guys are dingbats like marux245 said.

  • nice!

  • I don't like Federal Tires much

  • @tonyyeboah ive seen this a lot y dont ppl like them?? just curious.

  • Lovin it guys.. keep up the dopeness. .

    G.

  • matt's ass crack <3

  • how does stretching the tire benefit you on the track?

  • It does two things. It makes a contact patch wider and makes the sidewall stiffer. The latter is especially useful for drift.

However, that is not a racing tire and the only drifter that buy new tires to drift on are sponsored. In other words, those tires will probably never see time on a track.

  • ahha what?! federals get spun alll the time

ive seen people use "non racing" tires.

and for the record federal tires were ment to be used for drifting soo yeah im sure these tires were used for drifting.

  • negative...been done in Japan and Europe as well...

  • lol, i have a 195/55 on a 10" wide one. like a glove!

  • ha "steering wheel to lean on" did u think of that yourself?

  • @Mastara

WTF?!?!?!?!?! How can you be slagging off these Guys?!?!?!?!?! THE WHEELS LOOKS THE TITS!!!!!!! This has been being done since the 70's when the Jap Kids realised that "Stretching" Made it easier to drift as there's less side wall wobble, thus making it easier to stay in a drift for longer periods of time without the tyre spitting back at you,.......

i'v seen tyre walls smaller than this being fitted to a huge wheels (195/40/15's on a 10.5" Rim) and it looks the Nuts!!

  • hahahaaaa

  • lol i love how guy #2 is smoking a cigarette as he holds the tire, funny shit right there

  • classic
