It's not a tesla coil, it's just a flyback transformer driven by pwm modulator. Tesla coil doesn't have a ferite core, it has an air core.

ac or dc can be fatal its all about the power anything above 50volts can be fatal dependant on the the current available remember power is amps multiplied by volts thats why a car battery of 80amp capability doesnt hurt because the voltage is sufficient to push the current around your body however a supply of as little as 50 volts can do it and if so its goodningt nurse. I have been an electrical engineer for almost 40 years and had mant shocks that can be fatl its just luck that im still around

@girotube its really all about how the current enters your body and exits as long as it doesnt hit your hart you have a good chance and dc usually has a direct path to flow from negative to positive

This is well known. CD current seam harmless to some yet many people find the hard way that its not to toy around with.

in that setup you have got to be SO carefull of kickback , itl only be a kv or 2 but beacuase of the amperage itl be a nastier shock.

your from birmingham ent ya!? wow, anyway, can the frequency of that spark be adjusted by the PWM also, if you put the electrodes in water and get the right molecular resonance do you reckon you could achieve molecular dissociation?

You can change the frequency on the PWM.

I have been planning on doing some experiments with water resonance and electrolysis when I have the time.  I want to make a spark under water for a Hydrogen spark plug.

I am making a Tri Coil Pulse motor at the moment though.

It was loud, I just say that its a bit loud but the transistor is still cold to the touch.
