Damien picked me up while I was hitch hiking to uni about 10 years ago. Someone had just stolen his car and he was driving his dad's toyota to look for the shit they threw out the window. He told me his view on Karma which was: they guy who stole his car probably got fucked up the arse by his dad since he was a kid so having your car stolen isn't such a bad thing. At the time, I had a local community radio show so he gave me some CDs to play too. A nice guy and a hilarious road trip.
You can now hear Damien sometimes on radio 2JJJ doing sports commentary (mainly on the weekends) & I have to tell you the guy is an absolute genius. His wit & sense of humor are second to none. I can just imagine what type of hilarious road trip you must have had.
Anyone got damien's song 'green iguana'? can't find it anywhere. He's a great bloke - Rifles one of australias greatest unsung bands. fast, furious, clever, sexy, outstanding
