  • im glad im yours was such a hit because a year after it was big i remembered it and searched up jason mraz and LOVE LOVE LOVE all his stuff so much, especially java joe's stuff. as well he is the funniest and most attractive man alive :P

  • I love his older tunes and jams (Not So Usual, Little You and I, 10000 Motherfuckers.) But I also like his new songs. Dynamo of Volition, Coyotes, Butterfly, and Beautiful Mess (the Live on Earth version) are some pretty awesome tunes. But I do miss his old days.

  • absolutely definitely positively representative

  • So it's weird to say that only people that only were fan of him before I'm Yours are true fans, 'cause that's not true.

  • Although I didn't listen to the songs of Jason Mraz. I already knew him for quite some years, I just didn't pay much attention to him. Then one day I was listen to I'm yours, when I saw some of his other songs. And since then I am a VERY BIG fan of his music. I know like 40 songs from him. A lot of those songs are unreleased songs. I like his songs best when he's live, so I like to listen to his live versions a lot more then his recorded versions.

  • WooOooW :D

  • this man is so uniq there ar no words to describe it with he can change your mind if you only take the time to listen to his music i know him from the i'm yours song but when i took te time to listen to al his other music an complete new world opend for me and stil is so you can hate new fans but i love all his music maybe becus i can imagen what he has been tru

  • my favorites are full of jason mraz videos, huge fan. BUT is it crazy to ask the question, what does he mean when he talks about the auctioneer going once going twice, then he says " I gotta nice life for the price"...then in the very next song on this album one of his lines in "little you and i" he says, " we'd all sell our souls to the devil if he promised us something we already know so well..." any correlation there? ??? thoughts anyone???

  • Am I a bad person for hating how promulgation keeps posting comments on the Java Joe's videos about how he hates fans that only know of him because of "I'm Yours"?

Jesus Christ on a tricycle, man...

What's so awful about a new song boosting the man's fan base? God forbid he get the ammount of attention he deserves.

  • One of the best live artists alive. One of my favorite songs as well. Also love Dead End and some of his other very unknown songs. Music is just too commercial and the mainstream has to (or wants to) miss the most awesome songs.

    Too bad...

  • I'm so proud of Mraz! I'm not hating on the new fans though who began listening to his music after the release of 'I'm Yours'... just as long as its not the only song they've listened to! :) I've been a fan since the release of 'Geek in the Pink'... Doesn't make me any less or more of a fan as anyone who discovered Jason after 'I'm Yours'... :) Peace :D

  • 'He looked so different before he got the Label Signed him

  • Why is he standing on a chair? Hehe...

To join the conversation about how long time you've been a fan:

I actually heard him for the first once I was zapping through the channels, when I found the musicvideo for Make It Mine, and later I heard Butterfly in a sony ericsson commercial (Not sure that's spelled correct!) After that I were just like 'Wow, that's good music' and wrote down his name. Have been a fan ever since.

  • Been a HUGE FAN of his from the beginning! LOVE HIM! Amazing! I especially love his LIVE stuff!

  • great song!

  • Yea, agree with you. lots of people knows jason only from i'm yours and they say 'we know everything about Mraz's music'. It is not everything indeed. My advice: if you want to listen to real Jason Mraz recomend songs like. common pleaure, not so usual or plane. To me that what Mraz's music about.

  • Did he know that for a few years he'll win 2 Grammys? Did he know that he'll be the most talented man for a 1000s people? Who knows? :D I love him for the way he IS.

  • not everyone who discovered him through "I'm Yours" only appreciates the stuff surrounding it.

    Just sayin.

  • I used to have a mp3 version of this.. it was WAY quicker.

  • any1 know the chords he is using?

  • still a f*ck**g genious ;....

  • Can I download that song in HQ somewhere?

  • on itunes...

  • great song:)

  • I looooooooooove Jason Mraz' music!.. Makes me so joyful! :D I just wanna stand up and dance in the middle of the subway!

  • haha me 2... only im in my living room and i usually do ;-p

    im just that smooth :-D

  • AMAZING

  • btw i LOVE this song! i love his scatting <3 he's exceptional at it and this song is just amazing~ the lyrics seem so mindless and insignificant but its really captivating.. he's brilliant i tell you brilliant!

  • i know! his scatting is incredible

and i couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Most of his songs are solo and most of them sounds really good, but when Toca and Jason Mraz and another accompanyment comes and play together, they sound absolutely complete, especially Toca's 2nd voice where he can go high or low ( and always perfect pitch ) adding with a bass is total perfection there...

Music is a language to be shared and here he has shown with his two professional singer and viola player, with them this is perfection

  • jason + toca = perfect! :)

especially when they're performing live in korea..

so far, the best live performance..:)

  • wtf... why is he standing on a chair?

    haha

  • dont hate them - just send them a link to these songs! x

  • am i a bad person for hating all his new fans who only heard "I'm yours"?

  • No you're not!!! I soooo agree with you!!! I can't stand these new crazy hysterical screaming fans!!!

  • Definitely. . . those fans suck! This is the pinnicle of music here, and one song doesn't make a man. . . does it?

You ever try to convince someone to listen to some new music? They won't have it. . . It's frustrating.

  • totally agree!! i was listening to a leaked live version of "im yours" and all my friends didnt care for it. that is until it hit the radio.

  • I wish I could hear these three live. . . the original perfect trio. He's even better live than on record I find, what about you?

You ever actually try to find some of his non-famous songs. . . there's tons! All of em' excellent too.

  • seriously.. yeah "i'm yours" is way out there, but find some of his not so popular tunes & you can't argue that the dude is for real

  • oh i'm soo with you!! if you're a bad person then i'm a bad person lol

    seriously "i love jason mraz!!!"

"oh really what's your favorite song?

"i'm yours"/"lucky" siiiiiigh -___-; really they're great songs love love love them but there are more jason mraz songs out there!!

  • cant agree more!:)

too much people said they are jason's fans but what they know is only around i'm yours and lucky..:)

those songs are good, yes. but jason is more than that:) :)

  • Even more annoying are the people who think he's a new artist or who are calling him a one hit wonder (refering to I'm Yours) Uh.... not his first hit, folks! I love I'm Yours, and how it became a global song, but it's not what he's ALL about!!! Listen to Gypsy MC and some of his unreleased songs like Burning Bridges... there's so much more to LOVE!! :)

  • 100% agree. :)

  • agreed!:)

like halfway home.. eventhough not much people know it.. :p

  • absolutely agree, amen to that. he's the greatest singer songwriter of the century..hehe..

  • Amen! I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

I knew him long before Im Yours came out when he played in little gigs, nobody actually knew him.. I miss these days, cause now he is "that guy from I'm Yours"

  • Lets not forget about some of his stuff with Bushwalla!! GREAT!!

  • there is nothing better than billy galewood and jason mraz playing music together.

  • I had the honour of seeing both of them together and i met bushwalla! Love them both!

  • You mean to tell me that Jason Mraz existed before "I'm yours"? You are playing with me....say it isn't so. ;o) Haha. I have loved Jason since before I knew him.(If that doesn't make sense to anyone then just think it through...sort of like being satisfied with your food before you taste it) I recognized his love immediately. He radiates this love more than most humans. Hope he doesn't burn out on this tour, he is looking tired, bless his heart.

  • I like your reference to Gypsy there. haha

  • I KNOW!! Finally someone who sees the truth!! GAH! : )

  • @brumos513 agreed! i like that song (running) its a smooth mellow song and the lyrics are cool...

  • @promulgation Totally agree, so many saying they're a huge fan after just hearing I'm Yours. I will admit I'm a newcomer to his music (though before I'm Yours) and I think he's amazing :)

  • @promulgation NO! I feel the same way. I found him opening for Jonny Lang 9 years ago (I was only five and I was there with my pops) and we left before Jonny came out because there was no way he could even compare to Jason. I think it is sad what MTV and VH1 are doing to pop culture. They are making it so hard for these talented artists to get their music out there unless they sell out like Train did with "Hey Souls Sister".

  • @hgsk8er I wouldn't say Train sold out with that song. They've been chart topping artists for years before that song.

  • @promulgation If you look back at some of their older songs they had a unique style that was rock-esque and with "Hey Souls Sister", they gave into the current trend and turned it into an over-processed pop song. They lots most of their songwriting integrity along with it. That's just my opinion. I don't think they were true to themselves. I think they just wanted a new generation of fans.

  • @promulgation a great song ;D

  • @promulgation NO WAY! He's so much more than I'm Yours....I do love that song but he's got much more to offer than just one song! =)

  • @promulgation well...it makes you at least not that kind of person I expect to be a fan of jason mraz... I didn't know jasons music before I heard I'm yours... but why is that a bad thing and why wouldn't this make you a "real" fan of jason? it has to start somewhere...the song I'm yours draw my attention to him and made me know one of the best and purest musicians on earth :)

  • @OoanelrioO

promulgation says ONLY heard..... not started on. The distinction being, those who moved on from I'm Yours to his other songs might be real fans... the ones who ONLY know I'm Yours... not so much. *nods*

  • I love how he barely says any real words in this song but it's still amazing! I'm convinced that he could sit there and just hum and ppl would still adore him. He's perfect.

  • This is one of the best Mraz shows ever I think.

  • All of his performances are one of his best! :)

  • This is awesome! This song is so funny! And Jason's performance is, of course, brilliant!

  • no, not even close. and Jason Mraz was doing this before Jack Johnson was big...

  • how? he doesn't sound anything like Jack Johnson.

  • better than the JOHN MAYE TRIO (they're just good)...see this?this is the best trio.TOCA RIVERA has it all and the bassist (though, i don't know him.haha).and as to mraz, the wold vows.you really are a wordplayer! the idioms, metaphors and all of those figures of speech you used in your song really fits. keep youself high MR.A-Z!!!

  • the bassist is ian sheridan.

standing on a chair?? adorable. =]

  • Also known as Chester Copperpot, which I think suits him.

  • Chester Copperpot? That reminds me of The Goonies

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this song

  • I love Jason Mraz! He never ever has a bad performance! He's the best live singer.

  • i love this song, jason mraz!

    you are so amazing!

  • ..on a chair he looks like a hobbit...pretty cute and talented one i must admitt

  • really is a quality artist!

  • why is he..standing on a chair?"xd lol love him. he does whatever he wants and dont care of whut ppl of him think (geek in the pink = <3)

  • tru dat...lol

  • i ttly absolutley agree. ^-^

  • Jo ^^

  • completely

    I already kinda do

  • i agree!!

  • amen to that

  • i could watch/listen to this man all day everyday and never get sick of hearing his voice
