  • I have this pedal... it's well worth the money and as good as the Boss.

  • Blues driver or is this a good alternative?

  • nice review! nice playing also

  • For humbucker pickups, would you recomend this pedal, or a vintage tube by behringer??

  • Excelenteeee! Desde uruguay

  • great playing man! You got a nice "blues" feel....and I love the overdriven hollow sound of that strat! Amazing....I want that sound!

  • nice sound for a simple pedal!

  • can u use it for an beginner amp that sounds like shit.

  • Good improve man!

  • its a boss blues driver copy

  • Which pedal do I need for playing Kirk Hammett solos, Slash's solos etc?

  • @aptematik like a Kirk Whammett you said? Buy a Wah,only it and use only it and be a second Kirk Hammet,The Worst Satriani apperentice. ^^

  • Great Demo! Thanks for sharing

  • Sounds great! I think I like the tone with the pedal off a little better, tho

  • I just got my BO100. I had a gift card from Xmas for $25 (US) and the pedal was $23 and $24.99 with tax.

THIS IS A GREAT PEDAL FOR THE MONEY. It's plastic, but it switches real nice and seems to be a well made pedal. I've got an old Ibanez Soundtank and this doesnt have the same weaknesses, mainly the switching.

I think I'll try the UT100 or the UP100 next.

  • You're amazing...but I don't like the pedal...I like Marshall Blues Breaker II better...

  • It's modeled by BOSS BD-2.Great demo man

  • Great video and great sound but are they braeking easy.I'm asking because of the price.thanks

  • Great video and great sound but are they braeking easy.I'm asking because of the price

  • B E A UTIFUL \m/

  • does it smell. get it? BO

  • @CMSpida lol

  • wow men!!!! you're amazing!!!!, nice test and improvisation

    you've got 1 fan in mexico (:

can you tell me which are ur pedal settings please??? i'm gonna play yellow ledbetter by Pearl Jam :D in my music academy so i need to know.

    thanks!!!

  • @evenflow96 thank you. :) Hi from Australia.

Try everything with the dials at 12 Oclock (in the middle) and play it from there ;). It will vary depending on your amp and volume setting so start there and see how you go. Get a nice clean sound on your amp then turn the pedal on.

    Cheers,

    Shane

  • @intheblues Wow... I've already bought that pedal...I did fall in love when I saw it :)... and for sure...the stratocaster it's the best to play blues. Un Saludo

  • Problem solved. I went to the music store, and I tested the BO-100 and the TO-800, and after 1/2 hour(and a store crowded thanks to my playing - hahahah, i wish it was true), i decided to take the TO-800 =)

I didn't explored it properly yet, but it seems like i made a good choice

Thank you for all your videos, helped a lot in my decision

  • not bad for a lefthand ;)

  • Nice playing man!

I was going to buy a Boss BD-2, but after seeing your review, I'm tempted to buy one of those...It will be just my 2nd pedal, but I'm don't want to buy something that I'll want to change sometime later. Since you posted the video 3 years ago, you can tell me if this will happen, right?

And by the way, wich guitar, amp and pickups are you using?

  • @lucascopin these pedals last forever. Although some of them have a small fault where the battery connector will stop working. I run mine on AC and never have a problem. They are great for their price and sound the same as their counter-parts. I am using a peavey bandit and a highway one stratocaster with hot noiseless pickups.

  • ur just using one pedal in this vid right?

  • @WTFROFLMOA555 yes of course, that's the demo of 1 pedal only

  • I have the same cable, lol, the fender vintage tweeds in that color own :D

  • Hey man, it's a great tone. I notice SRV and Clapton influence in your playing. Most phrasing, the way you hold the neck, and the way you rake the strings to emphasize one note is definitely SRV. Your vibrato and some of your phrasing is quite Clapton-ish. Nice style.

  • @xxxxneoxxxx thanks man, most appreciated

  • @intheblues your clean sound is amazing! What's your amp???

  • @lsanczyk it's a peavey bandit 112

  • @intheblues Thanks for the video and your answer! ;)

  • that was wicked, you play wicked, the pedal sounds wicked.

  • @tehhalders these pedals are as good as the expensive ones as far as tone goes

  • Sounds perfect for R&B type of stuff.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @786Vahi cheers man

  • Only cost me £20 and is ace!

  • @MrMarkwilliams83 they sound really good :)

  • What is it with these Brits playing our blues? They are all over YouTube! Haha great stuff.

  • @andrewjwarren03 Australian :) hehehe

  • @andrewjwarren03 This guy sounds Australian, not British

  • @intheblues @ReggieDawg6000 Bah the Australians are just a bunch of British convicts sent to a remote island, right? :)

  • @andrewjwarren03 Before checking your channel, I knew that you were American.

  • @andrewjwarren03 lol look out!

  • @andrewjwarren03 well this is a blues pedal demo, what else would he play?

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • i really like the tone , and good playing

  • I'm about to get an overdrive pedal. Which ona do you think it's better? This Behringer bo100, or the Marshall Bluesbraker II pedal? I want some blues sound, but i also like de DOD YJM, which i think can be suitable for it too. What do you think? Thanks, great video.

  • @Juanmann2k check out boss bd-2 and sd-1 as well.

  • SRV Style !

  • lefty like me, love the pedal =D rock on

  • Sounds kinda bland! But that's a Behringer for ya!

But they make stuff to suit everyone's needs , im sure you like it.

  • You Play very John Mayer Style :) I like it. I see you have no Power Supply Does it still work for a while?

  • nice chops. Is that strat a MIM

  • high e a little flat there?

haha, nice demo and great playing. good to see someone giving these pedals a chance

  • @scaryfried haha maybe I don't know - i didn't tune before I made this and behringer don't seem to mind either they used it on their site lol

  • sounds really nice,

what songs are those that you are playing?

  • Random stuff my friend :) thanks

  • Hell yeah, lefty like me!

I've got the Behringer TO100, sounds really nice for the price.

  • cool :)

  • @Ukunaator

    Same as myself! leftys ftw!

  • @nigellinaballerina wooo! :)

  • Sounds like SRV's sound :D

  • Yeah it's that sort of vibe for sure

  • What size and type strings do you use, and what size of pick do you use? Love the sound, I bought this pedal as well.

  • 11-50 strings (or there abouts) sometimes up to 52 on the low end.

1mm black jim dunlop picks :)

  • I've bought this pedal after watching this vid.

I fucking love it! Never thought I'd enjoy a Behringer pedal, but it's really bloody great. And for the price - well, beat that haha.

  • i took a chance on them and they are good hey ;-)

  • YOUR LEFTY JUST LIKE ME!

    :D

  • sounded fhe best at 12&2 Nice job .Your stuff sounded good even on the clean side

  • thanks. Good tone starts with a good clean sound. :)

  • Nice Video! You are amazing!!! I think I will get that pedal. I just needed to know how it would sound. Thanks!

  • great :)

  • it sounds nice at 4 o'clock, maybe a little bit muddy

  • fan freakin tastic!

  • thanks man! Most appreciated!

  • Shit man, paint yourself black and flip your guitar, you're Hendrix!

  • haha I wish, thanks mate! :)

  • what is te name of the song in the minute 4:44?

  • It's probably rock me baby or something, I just typed in Blues Backing Track into youtube :)

  • Its the copy of the blues driver by Boss

  • thats the one, cheers man!

  • fellow lefty... uh, mate lol

  • funny I got the blue one for 20 pounds cheaper than they were selling the green one

    I use it a lot...

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah its a great blues pedal mate, I think their best one is the green one I have reviewed called the TO800 do a search I think mine comes up first :) This pedal is very good it has more gain than the green one , if u want a chuggy jm sound u can get it but it wont come with the free chops lol ;) Both are great. :)

  • Behringer is for anyone who don't have money

  • Not really, they make some great pedals for their price. I have about 20 pedals in my collection now from the boutique to the cheap and at least a few of the behringers sound exactly the same as their expensive counterparts. ;) Some are crap but you gotta know what to get.

  • id say you were wrong...they are great from someone in their bedroom. In a stage setup though, stomping on it alot, and being made out of plastic is where it is weakest. THe sound is fine

  • I've used the green on for over two years I did 40+ gigs last year with it :)

  • And pleas if somebody know, how to input CD or MP3 player or Laptop in my Peavey Bandit.

Is there any way to input laptop thru the mixer? I want to play in same time backing tracks and guitar.

  • When I see you video I decide to buy and yesterday new Bandit 112 is come to my home. I want to buy exactly the same equipment like you use in this video. what kind of settings you got on the amp when you play guitar on this video? (pleas describe)?

  • thats the pedal im searching for too

  • the guitar pedal gives it that scream sound with the bend at 1:18 right?

  • i baught that pedal yesterday, it sounds amazing

  • Nice playing and excellent tones. But you video is backwards.......

  • left handed....

  • Yeah! i'm too!

  • I don't know if Guitar Center usually has behringer pedals, but I am on the border of CT and RI, and Guitar Centers here do not. Anyone know of a place in Eastern CT or RI that has Behringer pedals? This one is a must have, but they all seem great for the price. Let me know. Thanks.

  • there is an EXCELLENT place online where i buy all my pedals and stuff, it's zzounds . c0m. I use them pretty much cuz there's no tax and no shipping (on most stuff) check it out, i save a ton of money there

  • I know, there's tons of online places that have them, but I don't have any kind of plastic. I actually used to shop with ZZounds all the time. They allowed me to return a 300 dollar tube amp just because I didn't like the sound. I traded it for guitar upgrades, but they would have given me cash back if I wanted that. It's like being able to try it out in the store, only without leaving the house. I need to find a storefront location with BRNGR pedals, I no longer have a credit card, only a bill.

  • this have a good pedal for some blues overdrive if you play on a cheap single coil?

  • well it's a blues sound if they have a blues sound then perhaps it is otherwise try a more of a rock pedal :)

  • I loved it !!, i'm buying this pedal tomorrow!!

Nice accent btw , it reminds me to Dr. Chase of House MD xD.

    peace out!!

  • hehe thanks. I hope you like the pedal :)

  • nice sounds, tested it today at a store, going to buy it tomorrow! just wanted to hear it one more time haha. nice licks too by the way, is it your own stuff?

  • hehe its a great pedal man, I used it with my SG guitar (epiphone) and my peavey delta blues tonight and it cooked. Huge tone, I think you will like it :)

    Shane

  • ha! i've got a black epiphone sg. seeing that the blues overdrive pedal looks unmirrored, are you left handed too?

  • I also have An Epiphone SG special with Fender super bullets strings and a BO100 pedal!! I play it through a Jade Storm SF-110R and it sound really good.

I watched this video last week and ended up buying the pedal.

  • u r 2 happy 4 da bluez

  • and you know what about me? It's a pedal demo moron. Get over it.

  • Those guys are dicks. Is that a highway one strat?

  • lol thats what i said "it a fucking BLUES pedal review" lol some people are stupid. anyway your sounding good in your tone.

  • oh u poor sad blues king. stfu, dont watch the video.

  • I like it. Blues is really cool, I like to use blues sounds in my song, so I think I'm gonna buy it.

    Thanks for the demonstration!

  • Nice job with the demo, I was curious, as to how the BO100 sounds with humbuckers? I am sure it probably sounds better with single coils, but I am hoping it could sound nice with both types of pickups.

    Thanks

  • all, i am new to electric guitar. Can anyone say , what is the use of Overdrive in electric guitar ????? What exactly is Overdrive ???? Because i feel distortion same as Overdrive.. What exactly is the difference between Overdrive & distortion ??? PLease help. Thanks in advance.

  • Overdrive is emulating the sound of a tube amp cranked up. Distortion is a mix of excessive overdrive so it becomes crunchy. Overdrive is perfect for blues (think eric clapton, srv) distortion is what metal bands would probably use.

  • hi intheblues. thanks for ur answer. One me doubt. What is the use of compression in electric guitar effects ??? Please give me some basic idea of this. Thank you in advance.

  • dont worry about compression, you wont need it.

  • Thanks intheblues. As u told , i guess there is very little use of compression. As i have a BOSS GT-8 multieffects processor, i get confused by words like "COMPRESSION" etc.. Not sure of its uses. But thanks for ur answer. thank you.

  • compression means to average a signal to a certain level. It will take out dynamics in your sound and make the quiet parts louder.

  • Compression is what you'll hear a lot in funk songs.

For example, Frusciante probably uses a compressor in the intro of Can't Stop (RHCP).

  • Nice playing. I just ordered one of these for £15 new (unbelievably cheap). Looks like it will do the job nicely. Cheers.

  • Great playing and really useful demo Shane - thanks mate! I have checked out some of your other useful reviews and wondered if you would give me your thoughts on which of your 3 favorite pedals would give me a sound nearest to that hot Jimmy Herring sound? I want a lot of hot smooth overdrive, not too trebly, and great sustain - I am into blues fuision etc.

Also, have you tried the OD100 Overdrive/Distortion pedal?

Cheers mate - I value your opinion,

    Enrico

  • you sound just like bret from flight of the conchords.

  • Very well played. Love your tone, I gotta pick up this pedal sometime. Just wondering, what kind of amp are you running through?

  • Second this question, could you answer?

  • Thats some impressive playing. And are you playing that right handed guitar left handed? Lol props x2!

  • what guiatr are you playing with?

  • fender strat with noiseless pickups.

  • Very helpfull thankyou

    Good playing btw cheers!

  • Unbelievable, this cheap pedal is so good, but your guitar sounds already great without behringer, and with it is superb!

  • thanks mate

  • Another thing I noticed on my last gig was that this pedal isn't really for solo boosting. If you put too much gain your guitar starts feedbacking as hell. But I really like it when combined with a vintage Stratocaster. Sooo bluesy ;)

  • Pas chère, super son

    J' adore cette pédale.

Tu as du sang blues dans tes veines !!

  • W

    O

    W

    !

  • nice pedal... it sounds amazing!

  • The pedal has a buddy guy sound to it I'd say

  • it's quite cheap. It only costs 13€ in germany. by the way did you use a fender guitar or a squier ?

  • Nevermind the pedal, Great playing!

  • to indo comprara agora =]

  • wow it would sound amazing with wah

  • Hey ! very cool video :D

Do you think it will sound good with a Squier strat guitar and a Marshall MG100DFX ?

    Happy New Year !

  • why do you have a 100 watt marshall with a squier?

  • you obviously don't know what you are talking about, that marshall is a solid state amp

  • i know that. its a combo amp. but it just doesnt make any sense to me that a person would have a 150 dollar guitar and a 470 dollar amp.

  • It should sound good. Squires are alright guitars (if you have one with a gold Squire logo rather than black) :) If your amp sounds good on its own it should sound good with this pedal. I don't know that model exactly, so its hard to say but for the price, give it a go :)

  • I think this peal is made to compete with the Boss BD-2. Sounds pretty good!

  • ahh that's the one, thanks for the clarification :)

  • I've also noticed that this pedal sounds a lot better on Fenders than with any humbuckers. It really gives you that classic Strat blues sound.

  • You could be right about that. I should do a new video with my Epiphone SG to see how it sounds. It really fattens the single coils up.

  • this is 11.40 eur on thomann

  • Hehe, this pedal is now on my wishlist for christmas!

  • Oh wow great sound.. I might pick one up right now I'm heading to the stores anyway!

  • very nice dude you really are in the blues¡¡

  • thanks man :D

  • Hello. I was looking for a TO808 ibañez clone. I found out TO800 Behringer and bougth it. It sound wonderfull, and a very cheap price. Now I bought Co600 Chorus, TO100 Tremolo, Hell Babe Wha Wha, and another TO800. hahaha. I dont test them yet. But I sure that will sound great. Thank you for your Video.

  • they are as good as the ibanez in terms of sound. someone posted a video with both pedals and there's no difference in the tone. :) Lemme know what you think of the other pedals you mentioned :P

  • behringer is so cheap, but still so GREAT!

  • hey, man you conviced me, i just bought it for 15€. needless to say it's worth the money

  • what about the TO100? is it good? from this bo100,can you get smooth distorted power cords? :) thank you

  • Very very good, the sound and equipment what I looking for. Peavey Bandit 112 and Behringer OB100. Unbelievable, this combination I will Buy for myself. Thanks!
