Thank god. (literally). Someone gets that gay people aren't that different, and that they deserve life, love and everything that straight people are entitled to. If gay people were ungodly, why would god have created them? They deserve to be accepted. I am straight, but I think gay people shouldn't be treated any different, except they should be allowed to marry and love whomever they wish. We are afraid of differences and that's why we ban gay marriage. We need to act out of love, not fear.
I want to say thank you for showing that there are still people out there that care. I am a gay man myself and have ran into some very hurtful people in my life. I am lucky enough to have a family (most of them) who support me in my life. I am also very lucky to have a loving man in my life. We are planning on getting married. 60 years ago people were against interace-marriage, and when people were finally able (in most places) to marry people from any culture without dirty looks and abuse. When that happened it was thought that equality had finally happened. Now this.
I am also a straight woman who can't stand the fact that people hate homosexuals for no other reason than who they love. They act as if being gay is a choice. You can't choose who you fall in love with. It doesn't work that way. The heart wants what it wants. There is no going back. I cried when I saw the Matthew Sheppard story and Prayers for Bobby. Both dealt well with the crime, in my opinion, of homophobia both in the community and in families. The hate has to stop somewhere. HERE!

I think it takes a lot of courage and bravery to admit you're gay to this cruel world and that's why I look up to anyone who can admit it. They're all my idols. In my religion of Islam, homosexuality is considered a sin, BUT it says that you still have to treat the person with respect and love them no matter what. People believe in different principles and we don't have the right to think ours is better than others', or they haven't got any moral, cause we would commit their fault. First of all, thank you for this video. I'm straight myself but I feel for those who are gay and have to put up with hate. In my religion of Islam, homosexuality is considered a sin, BUT it says that you still have to treat the person with respect and love them no matter what. Nobody deserves to be treated bad unless they have done bad to others. Whether they are gay or not is up to them...We are not here to judge.

You know I just thought of something. You know how God says that "Gayness is a sin"? Well the haters are the real people that are sinning. According to God you are supposed to love and respect no one no matter what. Bigots use two verses in Leviticus and a few mistranslated words in Paul's letters (and Paul only met Jesus once and was not a disciple) to justify their homophobia. But the Bible does not condemn homosexuality or homosexual conduct. The Bible does condemn bigotry and the rest of what you wrote I agree with wholeheartedly.

A person isn't defined by there orientation. I mean it's the same person whether he or she is gay, straight, bi, transgendered, or transexual. If I say I'm gay does that make me any different than if I'm say I'm straight or if I say I'm bi or trans. Hmm lets see um nope I still look the same and feel the same... Darn! No matter what ones orientation is, it doesn't change the individual! Hate just shows how insecure the individual is.
