1st 100% of power used in that place is made there. north building that blue strip of panels around it makes all that they need to run that place. those panels are much more powerful then the ones on the south building with all roof panels.
Think green and get out of being mean=)
lets now get on the right Path and save this place.
Power should not be our masters but our friends in Peaceful living.
The next step in moving our country towards renewable energy is to make solar panels, windmills and such, more affordable to the average person. I would have no problem using solar and wind, even if I had to cut down my use. I just dont know if I can afford the solar panels right now. Of course,I have a lot to learn about solar energy and such. I just started really trying to get up to par on the technology a few months ago. Good stuff.
Meth, it would cost you a few thousand dollars, which you could get from a loan, if Solarex was licensed to sell in West Virginia. But they are not allowed to sell in West Virginia (you know why), so we would have to order from a West Coast Company, if they would sell to our State. Then there is the Utility Company problems not letting us sell power back to them.
Yeah,I know all to well. I remember we talked about this before, really sad. We should really try to take this cause to our state legislature, not that it would do any good but I think if we could get some publicity...it would show just how crooked our..ahem...biggest employer really is.
Installation options come with purchase packages, using Contractors. However you can buy the panels individually, if you plan to self-install or hire your own contractor. Installation costs may also include system electrical coordination for converter, batteries, and selling back to the grid (Utility Companies) but it is important to check on those details.
i know you need a qualified person to hook into the grid, but i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy the components, set it up, and then hire someone to double-check your work and hook up the inverter to the grid...
i'm guessing it is...but i've never looked into it.
If you know what your doing: sun angle, structure fastening, electrical, etc then yeah. The inverter changes the initial signal from DC to AC/DC. The power output goes (if battery is fully charged) through the electrical control box to the home/grid. Unless you are an electrician, its worth it to pay a few hundred dollars for them to set it up without killing anyone. But as you say, it may save a few thousand contracting it yourself. Thats the kind of questions the news should run everyday.
if i were to do it, i would only do the structural setup. i've done some wiring/electrical work...but, for some odd reason, electricity scares the bejeezus outta me.
if they were to start putting news on "the news" it would probably freak people out.
I cant believe how far behind we are as a society even since 2003! Solarex made additions to their buildings, but its sad that this homemade volunteer video has more information than their company puts out.
Their advertising isnt even as strong as it should be to start competeing with fossil fuels. They are working with HomeDepot, but its the only plant on the entire East Coast! lol so weak...
can someone tell me the mailing address of BP Solarex?
