@88BigEtrain If Lindros stayed healthy, I'd totally take him over ANY other player. He was very unique, could skate, hit, fight, do anything. I didn't really like his personality, but I loved watching him play. I did enjoy him on the Flyers, but because of his injuries, we'd do better with Forsberg.
I saw a little bit of Lindros in JVR. While JVR isn't really a physical guy, he's 6'2, can score, and is really becoming a star in the league. Looking for big things from JVR.

I think Forsberg alone was better than Lindors, Eric was a great player but injuries limited how great he could really be.
I can understand the decision at the time---there was nothing really going for the Nordiques. If he had it to do over again, he may have some regrets. But such is the process of life.
Remember, the Nordiques were the only NHL team in a market with no English-language daily newspapers.

I didn't really like his personality, but I loved watching him play. I did enjoy him on the Flyers, but because of his injuries, we'd do better with Forsberg.
I saw a little bit of Lindros in JVR. While JVR isn't really a physical guy, he's 6'2, can score, and is really becoming a star in the league. Looking for big things from JVR.

In retrospect, the Quebec/Colorado franchise ended up getting a far better end of the deal when they traded Lindros. They got Forsberg, Ron Hextall, Chris Simon, Mike Ricci, 1 or 2 other players, a couple draft picks (one that turned out to be Jocylen Thibeault who they later included in the deal that brought Patrick Roy to Colorado), & a lot of cash. I think Forsberg alone was better than Lindors, Eric was a great player but injuries limited how great he could really be.

@BBBfights Umm New-Brunswick is a billingual Province. Also if you've ever been to St-Boniface in manitoba, you'd know they're all completely french. And Ontario has more than a small hood, theres a lot of french speaking communities across Canada. And FYI, I'm a Québecois too.

@haggggs I'd say most don't give a shit whether the English side speaks French or not. The idea is respect and that was lost from both sides a long time ago. And to say the hate doesn't exist as a whole. It does. And the more you go north in this country, the more the blind/general hate increases for the other side (that goes for both Quebec and the rest). Sad but true.
