I honestly cannot believe how fucking retarded some people are. Gradient = y/x. that's all the info you need. If you need any more than that (or didnt know how), then you're a fucking retard, go die.
dude whatever happened to just counting the vertical and horizontal stance from each point and placing it numerator and denominator places of a fraction?
thats how i was tought to do it and it was much faster.
you can find the slope without the graph ,are you retarded? all you need are two sets of coordinate points, as long as there is and x and a y. You can even do it on a table or chart.
okay, well, yeah, but how would this help you in school? in real life you do usually get the points provided , but in an algebra class, you're required to find the points yourself and sometimes you actually come up wiht the graph.
if u have basic maths skills then u dont need to go to howcast to find the slope of the line -_-" This is so useless................ All u need is text book and the ability to read
ummmmm..... this is only taught in alg. 1..... Well i mean i have taken alg 1 twice now and i have never met anyone in grade school that knows how to do this
I'm in 8th grade and I know how to do this... If you are an adult and don't know how, then you should watch the other video that Howcast made call, "How to Live in Your Car".
THANK YOU!! i always get this wrong in algebra! by the way are EVER gonna use algebra or any other math skills (besides basic math) in our adult life?
Man this helped me so freaking much, thank you!!!

Rise over run. How high it goes over how far it goes. lets say it goes up 4 over 2. 4/2, simplify to 2/1. Slope = 2.
