mmm when i played this, we only had one percussionist (me) and basically did crazy fills where ever possible and didn't really read the score for the fills or solo etc... to be honet i pretty much ignored it, as it's written quite boringggly.
Hey ZetoKaiba, I don`t know if you with "highly advanced" meann that hes playing too fast or modern. I think nothing of these two points makes the drumer wrong! Its very good that he play so modern... MfG Drumerbub93 (with one m =))
well it sure ain't going too fast. This melody is meaned to be played a lot, lot faster. The drummer has removed some of the main solo's in the melody and added some wierd sounds. It kind of ruins the melody...
Where' s the big drum solo as at our Orchestra? :(

Ye i agree, we play this in my band and i'm in the percussion section, we go crazy in this piece!!
In this one they sound like they can't really be bothered!

I play this with my brass band. we have a lot more percussion. The drums were pretty poor aswell.
