how large is the board that you tap on?

I'm tearing up the hardwood in my apartment and have been thinking about taking my act up a floor to my roof as well.

that is, if it ever stops raining.

That board is approx 4x4. MDF wood - it's very heavy but has a really hard and slick surface for sliding.
