Joey-this singer put her version out on a CD (called Lazy old Sun), and the Doors' own publishing co a) said OK, and b) they got paid. So if the Doors say it's fine, who the hell are you to say she can't do it? Besides, playing in a Doors cover band only means: making a fast buck because Jim Morrison is dead and warmed up imitation is all rabid Doors fans can get. Do YOU pay the Doors anything when you do your imitation-thing? You are in no position to lecture anybody

yeah i am a musician, in a doors cover band, we play this track all the time and this version is of no sembelence to the real thing, i wouldn't mind if these guys called it something different but why call it a "cover" if it's not? it bears no real reflection to the original and just sounds to me like these clowns are trying to be funny and call themselves a "band"
