While the recent one suggests there will be more close quarter combat involved, the game itself doesn't have to be a run'n'gun by a long shot. As a matter of fact, 47 is no longer restricted in his actions since he doesn't work for the agency anymore; as such, he is many new enemies which will have to be dealt with, requiring a new level of brutality. But that doesn't mean Absolution will sacrifice the series' principles.

Stuff like that still works. The developer talked about, say if you're in a cop uniform, you will fool enemies to a certain extent, however picking up something that is relevant to the disguise like a donut for a cop or hedgeclippers for a gardener, it will make the disguise seem a bit more solid and will hold out longer.

@LordPayne I too worry, but I'm convinced that the stuff they showed at E3 was the intro/tutorial, so that explains the linearity. Death of a Salesman in Blood Money was also very linear, and impossible to complete without getting especially violent, while the rest of the game was entirely open world. I'll wait and see.
