Average film. Although, the detectives were too stupid to realize that it was Catherine who was the murderer. The victim was killed with an ice pick and you see Catherine using it to break ice during the film. She even mentions how her book is about a detective falling for the wrong woman and that she kills him, where she even had a book about a rock star who fell in the same incident. Isn't it very clear who the killer is? Although, it was impossible to resist a woman as sexy as her..

But I'm just a fan of a good intense erotic thriller if they can get it right and in my opinion they did. But to each his own!!! There are die hard fans of another erotic thriller I'm sure you've heard of called Vanilla Sky that I found to be the most overrated piece of crap. Thats why I love movies. I can have these kind of debates.

@RichardElden Kudos Richard for recognizing a plot hole that i saw when I was 14. However, I won't hold that against a great movie with a pitch-perfect cast that seems to get everything else right. They may not be winning any oscars over this material (although to this day I wouldn't object to Stone possibly getting a supporting nod) but they must have done something right if we're all still talking about it today. Looks like BI is the winner here whether you like it or not.

Beth and Cath moved on from what happen towards them and onward to their life (but not Cath of course since she framed her). Oddly enough they cross paths later in time and Cath was to help Beth again since she cared for her "IN HER OWN WAY." So Cath screwed with Nicks head to aid Beth out (how else would Cath know how to ask the questions she was asking him when they met)
