My goodness - looks like over half of your luggage will be diabetic supplies, but I guess it'll be an awful lot cheaper to buy more clothes in Australia than diabetes stuff.
Was your PCT happy enough to pay for all of that stuff in advance of your trip? And did you not get a shocked response from Medronic when you put that order through? I presume that you've had to take out insurance to cover it all too, have you?
Thank you very much for posting this video (that I kind of requested).
@WalrusInMySoup yep both medtronic and my pct were a little surprised, but i made sure to clear it with both before i went ahead! i have got insurance too, which covers my diabetes :)
@notjustapples thanks for answering my questions. As regarding the insurance, I was just wondering whether your insurance was going to cover all of the diabetes supplies you're taking as I'd guess it's at least £6,000 worth (including the pumps). I guess it probably does, but I'm no expert on these things.
@notjustapples Thank you very much for answering my questions, Alissa. As regards the insurance, I was just wondering whether it would cover all of those supplies, as they must be at least £6000 worth including the pumps. I guess it probably does, but I don't know about these things.
I just went on vacation and was looking for a video on how to pack diabetic supplies! lol. I found the quicksets were hard to pack and so I kept moving them around. I put them how they are in the box. If you face two together, they kinda fit like a puzzle. I know it's probably too late now :P Also I totally didn't think of naming my pump! That's so funny. I need to think of a name.
@MakeupandBaseball they do sort of fit a little like a jigsaw, was thankful to have figured that one out before i left! have you thought of a name yet? :)
@MakeupandBaseball all of mine have started with a p and been a boys name - from there it's pretty limited. and i won't use a name of someone i've met - so that limits it more. the less choice i have the easier it is for me to decide! anyway, that combo seems to work all right in conversations with family who know what i'm taking about when i say 'pedro' :)
@SuccessfulDiabetes98 i'm up on the Central Coast :)

I hope you have a fantastic trip. Will you be posting from down under (with camera held upside down like Timmy Mallett used to do on Wacaday)?

@WalrusInMySoup thanks! i will be posting - though probably not upside down :)

@notjustapples Well that's good you figured it out. I haven't not. Every name I think of, it sounds weird. How did you come up with yours?

You seem to have heaps packed. Looks like your ready :)
I was going to say, have a backup for the OneTouch meter as we don't have those strips here. But it seems you have that all covered :)
Your going to love it over here. Have a great time!
