I think 3 Blackpool champions in standard, the Hiltons, Hawkins & Newberry and the Barrichi's. The common thing between of them, dance with their heart as well as technically superb. I'm not so sure about the champions now. Something we are sorely missing in this day and age.

I've seen many champion dance but I still love Hilton couple the most, because they just like the former two person said the dance really moves me.

I've watched this waltz for X times and it still moves me enormously... Yes, it's true - they have something that's rare to find on the dancefloors today... a real happines of doing what they love. A dance may be incredibly good technically, but if you don't see that the dancers enjoy it, then something's wrong. Most of the dancers now are dancing just with their bodies. The Hiltons were doing it with their hearts and you can see it.

I agree, most of today's dancers just don't get it. The Hilton's are perfection. As beautiful a couple in person as they are to watch. I had the honour of training with them years ago and they still remember.

I think the Hiltons have something that the current generation of dancers don't have. EMOTION. Look at Marcus' smile during the demo. He is always smiling plus it shows he is LOVING it. Nowadays, winning is more important than anything else. imo, something is really missing here.

Beautiful, this is the most beautiful dance I ever seen. When I see a video with Luca and Lorraine I just want to practice very much because I see in the dance the desire to win. When I watch this video Im unable to do anything because in this video is so much emotion.

look at how deep they bowed at the end. they are deeply appreciative of the audience. also, the Japanese audience never stopped clapping throughout the dance;I am sure they enjoyed the show too.

For years the champions of Latin and Standard dances were being attempted to be dethroned, many times. Therefore they tried everything including making the dances faster and faster, in order to kick the champions out. As a result the graceful character lost along the way.(which were mentioned in the Hilton interviews.) Therefore Marcus and Karen Hilton are admired by me for speaking out that the world is full of dirty people.
