  • I understand paying homage but he does it all the time

  • Lol you actually think jay would copy a biggie line verbatim? Dumb fuck. Jay was paying biggie homage with that shit. I don't even like jay but this is wack

  • 0:55-1:05. LMFAO

  • That line was also from Biggie's You're Nobody Until Somebody kills you.

  • u ppl need to stop defending jay z hes not as good as everyone says and il say this a tribute line but there are thousands of other lines he says that are not and he jacked from other mc's mainly biggie. point jay z is the most overrated rapper ever and i am disappointed in hip hop for electing him king when we should of chose nas i mean look at hip hop when jay is king bubble gum rappers every where and no1 cares about the music no more big and pac were keeping the game under control. j failed

  • its not stealing dog.. its just coming back to his lyrics and making a connection... biggie has a line that goes something like "cash rules everything around me" , which connect with wu tang.. same with mobb deep.. its just good rappers connection.

  • thats not stealing retard... he just rapped the lyrics the exact same way, not in a stealing manner, but in a resonant way of bringing back biggie to the song... stealing would sound more hidden and not so out there for everyone to hear.. this video is total bullshit.

  • what is the point of this video

  • Sure rappers have been using other rapper's lines all the time. But, when it gets to the point where it's so damn noticeable and seems like they took almost all the hottest lines of another rappers album, then that is just disgusting.

  • look everyone steals biggies lines. Example. Biggie "Big the millionare the Mansion" Nas "Nas the millionare the mansion" so nasty nas can shut the hell up

  • @TheMotionplus lol, dumbfuck. two words and you think that's biting? Really???? REALLY???????? Gay z takes a whole damn phrase and then some and changes the words up and calls it his own! Man, get off his dick man. Plus, the song Nas did was referencing the PAST when Biggie and Tupac were alive. Jesus.

  • On watch the throne jay z raps "im liable to perform like michael, take your pick jackson, tyson, jordan. Biggie raps I performe like mike anyone jordan jackson tyson.

  • @TheHipHopAP ye well yur mam is in mine suckin my cock for bus fair

  • they say jay z and lil wayne and biggie dont write their rhymes... no wonder jay z and lil wayne steal so many lines...

  • @RohamK96 LOL, you people are ignorant, when you google Jay Z qoutes, the shit you see is his original lines right, when other rappers quote him its his original lines right,

so how can you act like he needs to steal, dont play stupid just because you dont like Jay Z. it makes you look like a little bitch.

  • @dsjj251 actually i like acouple jay z songs and he has some pretty good lines... and i don deny that he doesnt need to steal... but he does anyways!

im not a big fan of jay z, but i cant deny that hes a pretty good rapper...

  • @RohamK96 He isnt stealing though, thats the point, the man isnt hiding that he uses Biggie lines, he and Biggie were friends, if he really was trying to pass the lines of as his own, he would have stopped. but 90% of the lines people say he stole are on popular songs, He is paying homage, not stealing.

and there is no telling about the other stuff, as much as Jay Z writes for other artist, as far as we know alot of these could be his own works.

  • @dsjj251 nah he steals biggie lines in popular songs and unpopular songs all over the place /watch?v=U_BqLfOLnr8

jay uses a shit load of biggie lines in his songs, how much homage does he wanna pay to biggie? like id make one song or a couple of lines in a song to pay homage to an artist like biggie... nd ive never really seen jay givin credits to biggie for the lines he uses from him... i mean hes a good rapper but he fuckin uses WAY too many lines from other rappers...

  • @RohamK96 really , you have never heard Jay Z give credit to Biggie... that leads me to believe you just dont listen to Jay Z. and Jay Z and Biggie were closer than these rappers who were 14 15 when Pac died and just spit one of his lines, there dudes where actually friends.

and you realize that those songs you named are all popular right, biggies albums sold like 16 million copies, there might be less known biggie songs to newer generations, but in their day, they were all popular.

  • @dsjj251 ive seen jay z givin credits to biggie, i havent seen jay z givin credits to biggie for all the lines he used from him! and i know the close relationship between jay z and biggie, but even if my fukin best friend died, id dedicate a song or 2 to pay homage to him, if not? a whole album dedicated to him, not using his lines all over my songs! and jay z's majority of fans are from the newer generation, that includes people who probably only know juicy nd big poppa or don even know biggie!

  • Jay-z and biggie were 2 peas in a pod when he was alive its nothing more than love, if you took the time to look through hip hop you'd see everybody uses eachothers lines

  • hahahah nas good ol nas how many biggies rhymes goin come out yo fat lips jay z was one of my favs hes not nomore

  • "im not a writer im a biter" *jayz voice*

  • Think about what Jay said carefully guys, he said "Im not a biter im a writer for myself and others, I say a B.I.G. verse, im only biggin up my brotha" He claims hes paying homage to Big, what do you think?

  • @DAVIDOWNS500

    ether - nas

  • I love how jayz big up biggie by repeating one of his verse, so brotherly.

  • whats the song in the end

  • jay z needs to stop making big role over in his grave and shut his fat ass lip. . Nas kept it as real as possible . . R.I.P Biggie

  • "i say a big verse im only biggin up my brother"

do you know how many people stole jay-z's lyrics???even waka jockin jay-z...

"got a main bitch got a mistress">waka hard in the paint

"i got a main bitch, young bitch and a mistress" <jay-z snoopy track

  • "I say a Big verse I'm only biggin' up my brother"

  • they're actually big's lines from his song "you're nobody till somebody kills you" off life after death

  • Comment removed

  • hes stolen so many rhymes from other artists

  • @BossBlaque1 Nice comment "MARKED AS SPAM"...Have you noticed that all these Little Wayne and Jay-Z dick riders call you a hater, or mention how they have more money than you, when you diss there favourite rapper?. It's quite humerouse because it makes them look stupid as hell. You can keep worshipping the biting, fake writing twat. It doesn't make a difference to me, but it makes you look like a dumbass mainstream puppet who cannot think for themself.

  • @cormegaful LOL that's funny as hell you took a full day to right this didn't you? and even then you spel humorous wroung!! And who are you talking to? Me? or the other Jay-z fans? because you're writing in 2nd person then 3rd person dude make up your mind! Either you can't write or you commented on the wrong post. And as for the last part about the puppet, i've been knowing jay since BEFORE he got big Asshole! Know who you're talking to before you start writing some shit you know nothing about

  • @cormegaful The first part of your post is for Jay-z haters so why aim it at me? and the second makes no damn sense cause Jay isn't mainstream these fake ass new rappers like Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane and a slew of other overnight rappers are mainstream. In music mainstream is when you have to PROMOTE your album by means of the radio or rintones or commercials. REAL rappers like Jay-z and Eminem can make a mil in a day without any promotion prior to the song being put out. Who else can do that?

  • @BossBlaque1 Jay-Z is mainstream. Eminem is mainstream. You're an idiot.

  • @cormegaful Mainstream get your definition right! Jay-z and Em are chill they don't need promotion. In music mainstream are the guys that need to get there music out there by being played a thousand times on the radio or need to make videos aimed at a certain group of people. Jay and em don't need that they put a video out on youtube and it's a hit. Get it stright mainstream is when you need promotion 50 cent and Kanye are mainstream get it correct man i know what i'm talking about

  • @BossBlaque1 You're completely brain dead! I heard a song with Em and Rihanna on the radio the other day, Em and Lil Wayne have done a song together. Jay-Z is clearly mainstream, each comment makes you look more and more stupid.

  • @cormegaful And exactly how many times have you heard his songs play campared to lil wayne or wiz khalifa? And Em and rihanna doesn't even make sense to be stating as a fact to prove your point. Em and rihanna Love the way you lie Drop the World and No love have been hits athe entire year of course they're going to play it!! Whereas i produce music and you listen to it, and whereas i make the rocking basslines and backround music that have your head bobbing I KNOW music and he isn't mainstream!!!

  • @BossBlaque1 Hahaha "took a full day to right"..... it's WRITE you dumbass. I don't think you can make fun of me for spelling "humerous" wrong shit for brains. You sent me 2 paragraphs which you we're probably thinking of what to say for an hour. You're a fucking idiot. LOL!!!

  • @cormegaful oh please let's not start you sent a sentence back because you knew you was going to spell some shit wrong! Let's not get it twisted you're out doing what ever it is that you do while i'm in the studio producing and making beats for Jay and other top rappers get your shit straight then you can come talk to me!

  • First off you idiot Jay said it as a TRIBUTE to Nototious BIG! Think before you write! Everyone knows that before Jay got big he was a close friend to BIG.... Shit who knows Jay might have helped him write those lines. Second he's a billionaire he doesn't need to steal anything! Big and Jay were friends, Jay spitting Big's rhymes is a tribute to Big, to honor his memory and to make sure that he isn't forgotten among the dozens of overnight rappers that get big then fall out of the lime light

  • @BossBlaque1 Thats right, he spits biggie every now and then as a TRIBUTE to the man.

  • @JayZTheBestMC Hahahaa, nice name, why don't you hop off his dick faggot!

  • @cormegaful Ill stay on thank you. No please stop wasting my time.

  • @JayZTheBestMC Jay-Z bit eminem lyrics is he always paying tribute to eminem? you faggots need to stfu and for everybody out in Brooklyn you should pay homage to Biggie and find Jay-Z and lynch that faggot.

  • that undergroundlova nigga is a clown lmfao, he was bustin' a forehead vein jus typin that comment :)

  • @mardogg3 wats the song at the end

  • Comment removed

  • Hes not stealing he quotes the rappers he respects.

  • WOW everyone that makes these vids are fucking retarded

LOOK UP ALLUSION! Yall dont even know 1% of how the rap game really works. EVERY RAPPER DOES IT.

    Nas does it

    Biggie does it

    Eminem does it

Fuckin retarded 11 year olds actually catch an allusion for the first time, and instead of being impressed they claim its biting. Fuckin stupid

  • @undergroundlova an allusion is biting... just because its defined in the dictionary dont mean its ok...lmao... come on this is hip hop we call it biting... so u saying because i fucks wit pac biggie and nas who are artists wit great quotes... i can take 4 or 5 bars from each of them and make a verse... and its not biting... fuck outta here

  • @RiverSideJettz88 He quoted 2 bars, n u call that bitin?

Do you think ANYONE would try to steal lines from biggie without thinking they're gonna be caught?

Its called an allusion... a reference to some other songs or artists. Every artist does it. literally. From drake to eminem they all do it.

Its not biting until they take more than 2 bars. THEN thats a problem. And nobody makes a song by making 5 separate allusions in their verses. if they did then that shit would just sound stupid

  • @undergroundlova well jay took more than just 2 bars cuzin...lol... more like two books. an allusion is like biggie and game using martin luther kings phrase i had a dream.. or somebody using a bar for a hook...not a bar for a bar...word for word.. when nas said dat shyt on ether about him using bigs rhymes it made jay fold.. not cuz nas had a hot track.. but becuz its true... y u think it took jay 2 years to finally say he was bigging up his brother.. most ppl dont even kno y nas won..

  • jay z copied biggie style, rhymes, the idea of a clothing line, the idea of writing his rhymes in his head instead of a pad. jay z used rap all fast until he copied biggie style. Fake ass phony

  • everboy if your a jay z fan listen up jay didnt start stealing biggs rhymes untill he died and how can he say hes better than big IF HES USING ALL OF HIS SHIT!!! im just saying.

  • @NoTyTV your just sayig gay z suck dick ever day of his lifetime

  • THAT AINT STEALIN BIGGIE LINE.....

U PUT THAT LINE IN YOUR SONG WHEN U ARE REALLY ADMIRING THE PERSON LINE OR WORK ALOT OF RAPPERS DO IT AND IF U ASK JAY-Z WHO LINE IS THAT HE WILL SAY "OBVOISULY THATS BIGGIE"

  • This Video Needs More Views By Jay-Z's Dick Riding Fans...

  • Nas came in at the end of that vid with more talent than "big lips" entire career!!!....BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHH!!!!

  • Jay Z copies rappers rhymes that he respects. He's not ripping off anyone.

  • @rmr355 Jay-Z is getting credit and earning money of shit he hasnt even made up......hes disrespecting everyone who he copies lines from.....get your mind out of the gutter cuz ur favourite rapper is nuthin but a BITTER NOT A WRITER!!!!

  • @cormegaful Could not have said what you said here better myself fam. People need to stop with this Jay Z being the best rapper alive crap. Jay Z is a joke and a lame. Unfortunately, his stan base increases everyday. Real hip hop is on life support. Just saying. Peace.

  • @rmr355 if there family's or them don't get cash for them is stealing,

  • @rmr355 You are crazy for that comment fam! He is a bonafide thief, and a self absorbed blowhard. Wake up dude! You are better off being a fan of Soulja Boy.

  • @soyfity Soulja Boi??? Really. Thats just ridiculous. Any body is better than Soulja Boi.

  • @soyfity No you're the crazy one, Jay and Big were close FRIENDS he wasn't stealing he was giving tribute and honoring his friend. If you wanna talk about a real thief look no further than Puffy! Puff stole ALL of Bigg's albums, trademarked them under Bad Boy from Uptown records. Puff STOLE Big from Uptown when he was fired. Puff was mad so he took Big and after he died stole the music and released it it different volumes. Puff had no choice but to end it when people realized what he was doing..

  • @BossBlaque1 He ended it with The final chapter; the Biggie Duets. Puffy has always been a punk and always will be. But unfortunately even I've got to hand it to him he played the game and he was good at it. As a side note Puff stole more songs, rhymes, bars, and sampled more ish than anyone in music. He still hasn't produced anyone that has come close to reaching Big's success. Everyone of his artist from Danity Kane to Bad Boy Latino has failed. His ONLY claim to fame is Notorious BIG...

  • @rmr355 you must not of heard the video nas says that jay-z claims hes better than biggie......respect what?

  • @cormegaful So what if he thinks he's better than biggie? Thats his own opinion of himself. Why does that bother you?

  • @ROosthakid someone said "he respects the rappers he takes lines from"...........in the video nas says jay-z claims hes better than biggie.....in my opinion that is a disrespectful thing for jay to be saying....understand?

  • @cormegaful Nas said that because gee i don't know HE WAS AT ODDS WITH JAY. Nas KNEW talking about Jay being disrespectful to the memory of Big would add more fire to the already high flames between Jay and him. To add insult to a wound, stop talking about the primary target and insult the targets friend or the person they most respect. He talked about disrespecting Big because he knew it would hurt Jay Get it straight

  • @BossBlaque1 You a Jay-Z fan? ROFL! Fuck that big lipped twat!

  • Comment removed

  • @ROosthakid cause its totally false,,,, biggie is the king of ny

  • @JTJUlian No biggie WAS the King of NY. You cease to be king once you die. Jay has surpassed Big in every way from sales to concerts. Let's get it Straight Jay- Z is King of NY!

  • @BossBlaque1 because he took biggies ideas.......jay z would under biggie if he was still here. biggie was in the game 2 years and look what he did.

  • @JTJUlian Biggie would've lost steam!! Remember the ONLY reason Big made as much money as he did was.... the East coast west coast rivalry. Once the rivalry was over sales went down. Even if he would've dropped another album it still wouldn't have sold more than the albums he did durring the rivalry

  • @BossBlaque1 ready to die sold mad albums before the rivalry even started.

  • @BossBlaque1 thats the dumbest thin iv ever heard......biggie didt everything firsth then jay copied...the restaurants the clothing store. Biggie would be the don right now. Ready to die was befor the beef and its better than anything that jay z ever did.

  • Gay Z.. LOL!!!!!!!

  • this faggot fuck fucks beyonce?

  • Nas knows.

  • Nas owned that fat lipped twat

  • He stole Biggies rhymes, Eminems rhyme from I'm Back, Nas' NY State of Mind track... Jay did Empire State of Mind and he took the sample from Tupac's Me and My Girlfriend track and used it on Bonnie and Clyde and as Nas says in Ether, KRS already had an album called Blueprint... I like Jay but these are facts. Jay and that wack ass Wayne are both known for it.

  • @trevez17 don't forget snoop on jigga that nigga, some of this shit would be alright on mixtapes cause your showcasing your rhyme ability, but for him to put these on his actual albums, hes a fucking rhyme biter

  • @trevez17 fucmin relax...hes a fuckin billionaire...so he obviously did something right

  • @trevez17 i hate people like you who think they know the mindset of these rappers. Jay never anything from Biggie he never needed to! Big and Jay were close friends, Jay even helped to write some of Big's rhymes but was never accredited for them. And another little known fact is Jay made amends with tupac after the Coast rivalry. Jay and Big talked to Pac's camp so his sampling of Pac's Me and My girlfriend can again be considered a tribute to Pac and his memory..

  • @trevez17 you sound ignorant dude, other rappers use each others lines all the time.

by the way, when did using a sample a beat become stealing ? last time i checked, one of the main pillars of Hip Hip is sampling. you should look at Tupac, Eminem, Nas' album credits before you say Sampling is stealing.

and LOL with the Blueprint line, really man, you sound stupid.

  • Thats line biggie used on freestyles around the time his life after death album came out and that verse is from your nobody till somebody kills you. I don't think Jay-z steals from Biggie but pays tribute.

  • oh yeah thats why i love nas!!!!!!!! go nas...u r one of the las few legends sill alive.

  • Gay-z sucks

  • jay-z is fake

  • Oh wow, jay z such a swagger jacker! its sounds better wen biggie says it.

  • NAS rofl.

  • you are really pitiful man. I wasn't the only one here to see that you looked stupid. you got your facts wrong and now you are crying over a subject that you lost and is now over. I see debonairman left you here and this other cat swifthandz7 did too. what does that tell you? lmao. sorry man but I gotta leave your country bama ass here talking to yourself too. have fun. later lol lol.

  • @MrSavant10

1.what facts where wrong, the only thing me an debonairman really disagreed on was whos tarted the beef.

    2. it shows just how much of a moron you are to agree with someone else's mistake. LOL . calling a Grammatical mistake a spelling mistake is a mistake, thats all i pointed out.

    3. it is kind of funny to say that you say im crying about it, but your the one who commented to me.

  • @dsjj251 : are you ok?

  • @mscandi2010

    im fine, you

  • @dsjj251 : yeah i'm good. i asked because you look like you're upset. what' wrong

  • @dsjj251

LOL, im a competitive person, if someone is going to tell me i lost an argument, they should atleast be able to tell me WHY they THINK i lost it.

if they cant, it just means there agreeing with the first person to make the funnies "ending response "

  • @dsjj251 i see. hey in this life you gotta be a man sometimes and walk away honey. NOBODY is right ALL the time. i just aint never seen noone carry on an argument when the person they are talking to says they are not gonna respond anymore. it looked really strange so thats why i asked if you was mad. looks clearly like they left it alone. time to rest your head now and do the same sweetie. have a good night bye

  • Jay-Z ripped alot of Lyrics off rapper besides Biggie and he calls himself the greatest hahahaa!!! Nas killed him and told the Truth at the end of the track Real Talk plus we all know Nas murked Jay-Z when they were beefin

  • Rofl!!!!!!!!!!Great vid.

  • Haha ... great vid bro.

  • Comment removed

  • Ma nigga nas lol more rappers should diss jay ... FUCC JAY

  • Jay Z has so many haters.

it aint stealing you dumb asses. both of biggie's albums sold atleast 5 million copies.

do you really think people wont recognize his rhymes. It aint stealing when its in plane site. it is emulating

  • THANK YOU DSJJ you are so right

  • @dsjj251: I see your point..but this is different. The lines that Jay-Z spit were from a FREESTYLE by Biggie. There are, quite literally, MILLIONS of people that probably bought Biggie's album but never got the chance to hear that freestyle on that radio show. Therefore, Jay-Z...particularly as he has a wide international fanbase...would feel quite comfortable slippin' those lines in, thinking madd heads won't notice. Guess what? With the exception of REAL B.I.G fans, he is right.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN I never heard the verse on the radio either, but i knew the line was a Biggie verse and hell i live in Alabama

  • @dsjj251: I did hear that freestyle back in the day. However, if I had never heard it, Jay-Z MIGHT have convinced me..but he made a big slip up. See, B.I.G was proud of his Jamaican heritage, so he used to slip madd patois references into his flow. Therefore, when I heard Jay-Z use the term 'blood claat' in that bar, that was a dead giveaway right there, as Jay-Z has never really been known for using those terms...unless, ironically, he is bitin' off B.I.G. LOL.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    LOL, its emulating.

  • @dsjj251: Emulating. I like that. Such an eloquent term to use for 'biting.' LOL.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

"if i use a big verse im only bigging up my brother"

  • @dsjj251: Uh huh. If it was that simple, I doubt Nas (who was equally as down with Biggie as Jay-Z was) would have felt the need to address it in his diss track 'Ether.' There were a number of emcees that were just as cool with Biggie, however you don't hear them repeatedly puttin' his lines in their joints. LOL. C'mon, man.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN i dont know about all that, there is a difference between " being down" and actually being freinds with some one.

  • @dsjj251 : Of course, Biggie and Nas were friends. Jay-Z was not the closest emcee in friendship to Biggie back then. LOL. You can keep trying to twist this any way you want to but it does not change what is shown in this vid, among other instances.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

you are right, its still emulating

  • @dsjj251 : If you agree that 'I'm right', then you would agree with the fact that he is biting. LOL. By looking at the majority of the posts here, you can see that I am not the only one that sees that. It appears that you missed a lot more than Biggie's original freestyle in Alabama, homeboy. Give it up, as this is going nowhere. LOL.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

lets look at the from a market stand point.

you are the biggest rapper in the cant world and you are based out of New York. you used a free style line from a rapper who is also based out of NYC, who is arguably one of the best of all time. the line isnt some unreleased vault track, it is out to the public. you cant possibly call that stealing

  • @dsjj251: The only way that you can attach credibility to what you have just said here is...if Jay-Z has acknowledged Biggie's bars in his song appropriately in the credits of his album. If he has, from an industry standpoint, that would not be considered as stealing; it would be considered as a form of sampling. If he has not, then IT IS considered as stealing. In the music industry, those rules appear to be standard, hence the numerous lawsuits that occur.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN well their you go.

Jay Z does that for biggie all the time. he is either in the album lines or mentioned in the song

  • @dsjj251: Look at the situation any you want to. The majority here...including Nas LOL..will look at it one way....and you, my friend, can put an end to this by looking at it another way. End of story....I hope.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

Arent Nas and Jay Z friends now, end of story ,LOL

  • @dsjj251: Indeed, however 'Ether' is still an ill reminder of the truth. Case closed. LOL.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

not really, when you analyse ether, it is full of falsehoods, so the reminder fades

  • @dsjj251 :Your desperation to prove a point is extremely amusing. LOL. OK, as you have 'analyzed' 'Ether'...list these ' falsehoods' then. The fact that made 'Ether' the dominant track in that battle was based on the relevance of the info contained in it...but you feel otherwise...so I'm waitin'. List 'em...

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. well, it common knowledge that Nas started the beef by making a comment about Jay Z not asking to use the "dead prez" sample, yet Nas says Jay Z started it.

    2. Jay Z didnt say he was better than Biggie

    3. in 88 he didnt call Nas.

    4. some of the stuff in the song dont even make since

    5. rocafella didnt die of AIDS

    6. Jay Z married Beyonce (dont think he is rocin fellas)

    7. Renegade was Eminems track

    8. Jay isnt wack compared to Beans

  • @dsjj251:

2-Jay-Z has referred to himself as the greatest emcee ever.

3-. Jay Z was not even out in '88, so how the hell would YOU know if he called Nas or not? 4- No comment. LOL. 5- Rocafella was a legendary hustler in Jay-Z's old hood in the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, and he died of AIDS. 6- Yes he is married...ONE falsehood so far.

7- WRONG. Renegade is on 'The Blueprint' album, making it Jay-Z's track. 8- Jay-Z wack compared to Beans is debatable; only a battle can solve that.

  • (CONT.) Also, Jay-Z started that beef in a line at the end of 'Takeover', when he performed it live at NYC SummerJam 2001, which I had attended. Nas was tending to his ailing mother at the time..but still responded in 'Stillmatic.' Jay-Z added another verse to 'Takeover' dissing Nas and THAT is how the beef started, Alabama. Time to shut it down, homie. LOL.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. it was over dead prez

    2. i have never heard him say that in a single song or interview. he has called himself the best rapper alive, when big was dead

3.another youtube video that broke down ether

    5. Jay Z said he named his company after the oil tycoon, who died of natural causes

    7. Eminem owned the song, he sold it to Jay Z after eminem already recorded his verse, it wasnt a competition.

just like drake sold Birdman " Money to blow "

  • @dsjj251: You still playin' yourself? When Nas said that about the 'Dead Presidents' sample, that did NOT start the battle. I just told you of how the battle jumped off. I was in NYC when that battle started so quit that, homie. One Youtube video vs Nas stating the reason in an interview? LOL. Nas went at Jay using the ref to the hustler Rocafella as satire. He obviously knew Jay-Z had named the company after Rockefeller but such is the nature of a battle..it is about embarassment.

  • (CONT.) Also, Jay-Z has already said that "if he is not better than BIG, he is the closest one to being better." That is why Nas said 'won't you let the late great veteran live?' as it was disrespectful for him to say that once BIG had passed. Finally, if you sell something to someone it becomes THEIRS. Nobody said it was a competition however Eminem's verse outshone Jay-Z on the track.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

but thats the entire point, yes, so Jay Z gets the profits from Renegade, but it still wasnt originally his song.

If Nas doesnt comment on Dead Prez, Prodigy never takes shots at Jay, Jay never responds to both with Takeover, Nas never makes H to the Homo and so on and so forth........

and it wasnt one youtube video, it was several. I have never seen that Nas interview.

i remember Jay saying he named it after the Oil tycoon who died at 97. and the BK hustler died of a PF

  • @dsjj251: You are scraping for credibility, son. Whether a track is ghostwritten...sold..it don't matter. We are not talking about profits; the track was featured on Jay's album, so it makes it Jay's track..period. Nas stated that Jay wanted him to re-record his sample live for his 'Dead Presidents' track. Nas stated that he declined, saying that "he didn't know him like that" at that time. Is that the reason a 'start' a battle to you?

  • (CONT.) When Jay said his line at the end of 'Takeover' (LIVE IN FRONT OF ME) at SummerJam, HE STARTED THE BEEF, probably mad because Nas denied his request. There are plenty of vids of that interview on here, so look for 'em, instead of coming back with your weak comments. Plus, I already said that Nas used the hustler reference to embarass Jay due to it being a battle. What is wrong with you? Learn to read my posts thoroughly so I don't have to keep repeating myself. LOL.

  • @dsjj251: An example, to show you that you are playing yourself. When the beef went down between T.I and Ludacris in ATL, I heard about it in NYC...got a couple of facts here and there..but never knew the real on it til later. However, would I have denied any info given to me from a REAL ATL hip hop fan, who is more accessible to word on the street there than me? Obvious answer=NO. You hadn't even heard BIG's freestyle or knew about that BK hustler til you got told here, so there you have it.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. I did know about the BK hustler, i simply stated that Jay Z said he named the company after the Oil Tycoon.

    2. on dead pres, that is the reason the beef started, no matter if it was a good reason or not, the first "public shot" is what you are talking about, im talking about THE first shots.

    3. ownership. you probably call swagger like us T.I.'s song, but Jay Z owns it.

  • @dsjj251: Sure. You hadn't even heard BIG's freestyle from back in the day. Also that hustler had not been heavily publicized even in NYC...but in Alabama, you knew. LOL!! Cry me a river, man. You have run out of valid responses, so you are just trying to save face. Nas denied a request; that is not taking a shot at someone. Artists present tracks to others but do you think that matters to listeners when the artist has that track on their album for worldwide distribution? LOL. You are boring.

  • (CONT.) I see how you have tried to divert this from what I initially...as well as many here...have said in the beginning: that Jay-Z has bitten lyrics from BIG. Before you run off and try to do a little Google search to help you with another one of your redundant and played out responses, you need to type 'Rappers Using Biggie Lyrics' in the search box above to prove that Jay-Z has used..AND TWISTED..BIG's lyrics for a number of his songs, instead of wasting your time saying nothing here.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

you talk about me, but your comment doesnt even make since.

    1. I did know about the BK hustler before today because it has been a rocafella topic for years over weather he named it after him or the Oil Tycoon

    2. what does me ever hearing the verse have to do with it, I have never actually read John 3:16 in the bible, but i know it word for word.

    3. Nas said he didnt give Jay permission to even use it, so he was mad.

4, you yourself an idiot on th Biggie part

  • First off, learn how to spell before you call anyone an idiot...as you have played yourself again right there..if you going to say people don't make SENSE, dummy. LOL. Plus, why would it be a topic if Jay-Z had named his company after Rockefeller, when he said so from the beginning? There is no need to speculate if he had already said so. Using the Bible as an analogy for what we are talking about is dumb off the bat, as you had to STUDY the book in order to memorize the verses, fool. LOL!!

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. its the internet, i dont care about spelling,

    2. that would be grammar, not spelling,LOL, you got to admit, that was fail on your part by calling it spelling.

    3. like i said, i never read the verse. but so many people have said it around me that i know it by heart, memorizing doesnt just come from reading.

  • @dsjj251 : I guess you really need to step your game up with your little community college classes. Either that...or you should try to stay awake during them because the term GRAMMAR is in reference to the inflections, relations of a word in a sentence. If you have spelt 'sense' as SINCE and 'whether' as WEATHER....you have spelt the words INCORRECTLY. No association. LMAO!! So, it would be in your best interests to learn appropriate spelling, especially in your poor attempt at sarcasm.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. it was grammer, because i didnt misspell it, i used the wrong word. since and sense

    wow, you're an idiot

  • @dsjj251 : GRAMMAR! GRAMMAR! Look at you! You can't even spell when you are trying to defend yourself!! LMAO!!! You clearly misspelt the word..yet your ignorance stops you from seeing that. If, as you claim, you used the word out of context, that still makes you ignorant.. So, the overall conclusion is...you are an imbecile. Save yourself further humiliation and BEGONE. LOL!

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

    1. i already told you i dont care about spelling

    2. i had already spelled grammar correctly in another post before that, so that negates your statment.

    3. you dont know the difference between spelling and grammer.

i wrote "since" in that comment , the word itself is spelled correctly, but it is not the "sense" that should have been used, there for, it couldnt possibly even be spelling, it has to be grammar you dumbass.

you are the one making a fool of himself.

  • @dsjj251 STATEMENT!! LMAO! Look at you! Your feelings are so hurt, you are STILL spelling incorrectly! Hell, you still misspelt grammar AGAIN in your 'point number 2.' while trying to defend yourself. Pathetic. LOL. It is CLEAR that you have already made a fool of yourself..and have saved me the trouble. :-D

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

the funny thing is that i already told you i dont care about spelling, so it is you who looks like the fool.

you have made a complete failure of your self in this argument, LOL. you tried so hard, yet failed so easily, LOL

spelling, ha ha , yea, you want to argue on the internet about spelling.

like i also said. Jay bought the rights from Serchlite publishing, Nas didnt own it.

  • @dsjj251: I guess it must only be in Alabama where you can call someone else a fool while not even caring about or knowing how to spell properly. LOL!!! Based on a statement like that, you have made yourself look even more ignorant than I thought possible. You should be ashamed of yourself. You can convince yourself that you have valid points, if that helps you to deal with your inadequacies. LMAO! Too sad. You're a complete joke.

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

this comes from a person arguing about spelling on the internet,LMFAO. ya, you post what ever makes you feel better dude.

  • @dsjj251 : man you need to stop the guy done made you look stupid already

  • @MrSavant10 For real. debonairman chewed him up with straight facts from the beginning

  • @Swifthandz7

    show me the facts then

  • @dsjj251 anyone who knows about what really happened can see that you got shown up by debonairman with the the real facts. you just need to accept that and move on instead of trying to carry on with me or anyone else here and make yourself look even worse talk to yourself from hereon you have already been put in your place man lol lol lol bye

  • @Swifthandz7 im not here to argue with you, i just would like to know how he showed me up.

  • @dsjj251 : yo kid you gotta let that shit go man you are sounding too sad right now the guy done left the conversation but you still here worrying about it wtf let it go damn lol

  • @MrSavant10

actually, it is you who commented. thats why im responding,

But in reality, he didnt make me look stupid, he couldnt back up anything about Nas vs Jay Z, then he resorts to calling out Grammatical errors, which he called spelling.

then he says i spelled grammar wrong, but i had already spelled it correctly in my very first post, so why would it matter if i spelled it wrong the first time.

i just want to know how i look stupid, when he didnt accomplish anything with his post .

  • @MrSavant10

how did he do that ?

  • @DEBONAIRMAN

now to kill your entire agrument

    1. you said how do i know Jay Z didnt call Nas in 88, then you comment saying Nas didnt want to re-record because he didnt know Jay Z. So if he didnt know him in 1995, im sure he didnt know him in 1988,(your words).FAIL

    2. Nas doesnt own his own catalog, Serchlite Publishing owns most of Nas' stuff. so it wouldnt matter if Nas said yes to Jay Z or not.
