I'm recommending spykee for family use but I understand why some people would go for rovio I've had both and because the rovio had to be sent back because it didn't work properly and when it was working there was no sound I would go for spykee.

We've got a spykee and it's brilliant except that it doesn't move it's head and it can't go side ways and there's no iPhone app.

Hey! Let's get a rovio and so we got one and guess what, didn't work. Would not connect and when it did there was either no sound or no video. Not as agile either could not get over a step a centimeter tall!

Spykee on the other hand can go up hills,

Tackle almost 5 cm steps and can move on grass and gravel(thanks to the catypilar tracks) also spykee comes with sound e
