  • sounds like a very scottish tune. t shouts scotland tho the tuning is more minor

  • wow, thats very cool!

  • Sounds like clarinet, very nice!!!!

  • how did you make the bag?

  • does this use the same fingerings as a reed chanter? or does it use flute fingerings?

  • false fingerings like open C are common but not bad

  • Hey PVC Piper, can you send me a instruction Plan of the Chanter ?? I like that better as my own Bagpipe LO=)

  • That's much more gorgeous than the sound of any actual bagpipes. Real bagpipes are the missing link between noise and sound.

  • is that raglan road?

  • @BaronVonKenny very nearly!!!!

  • At first, I saw that thing, and thought "good lord, what a beast"! haha, sounds great!

  • im just so amazed it sounds so good, considering making one myself, was it tough?

  • que tonto pero way hijo de bueno

  • did u get a brain freeze? xD

  • Goosebumps ! Gooosh man you are good xD many + from sweden^^

  • WOW!

    And you made it yourself?

    Thumbs up!

  • Wow rofl. Nice I geuss.

Btw your finger layout is wierd O.o lol good vid though :)

  • Ha ha ha! That thing is so funny looking, but the great thing is that it sounds pretty good!

  • that bagpipe is the most beautifull thing i have ever herd!!!!

    kind reguards zoe :)

  • Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

You should have a look at my other video 'My Improved Bagpipes / Smallpipes' the tone is 200% better.

    Cheers

    Isaac

  • @PVCPiper92 <What were the supplys and measuremnts of the pipes that you used?I have to make some of these for a project

  • That's extraordinary!! I'm completely awed!! I left a message asking for measurments on your other vid, but I've just read here that you put some information in the information bar, I'm going to have an other look.

  • I can send you a plan in a few days, I'm a bit bogged down with study and stuff cause my Tertiary Entrance Examinations are coming up. I can send you the hole distances and the name of some videos that tell you how to make certain bits. My next video will come out next year or late this year and will have step by step instructions.

  • Yeah, if you have time to send the measures in the next few days that would be grand. Thanks a lot. Do you need my e-mail adress or is it possible via youtube ?

  • @PVCPiper92 can you send me a plan too?

  • If you have a guitar tuner, the "low G" and "High G" should be about 31 cents flat. Even if you're tuning around G, the needle on the meter will be in the same relation. So: Low G: 31 flat Low A: Nuts on B 4 sharp C# 14 flat D 2 or 4 flat E 2 sharp F# 16 flat High G 31 flat High A Nuts on Keep up the good work!
  • Thanks a lot mate these will help me to make my next chanter, I'm going to tune it with a tuner instead of a piano so I can use these, these will be very helpful.

  • Thanks for email mate. Really nicely done!! It's really impressive.

  • These are really good. You might want to trim a little of the bottom of the chanter to bring the low note up a bit, though. I don't know if that would change the tuning for the rest of the scale or not.

  • Thanks mate!

The bottom of my chanter is adjustable, I put a bit of thicker pipe on a wind of sticky tape at the bottom with a hole in it like on a real bagpipe chanter so I can move that up and down to adjust the pitch of the the 'Low G' or F in this case.

The low G on bagpipes is traditionally quite flat. It wouldn't change the rest of the scale to change the low G,significantly which is good.

I might move it up a bit though in hindsight :-)

    Cheers mate.
