  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • This is such a cool pedal. I really don't like the sweeping sound of a chorus, and this pedal gets that chorus sound with the huge sweeping effect a normal chorus gives you.

  • 2:02

WHAT? I HAVE TO KNOW KEYS!!!???

  • Could it be useful in a sax??

  • @nortonscarton yes man, i think so, and also i´ve heard a great interprettation of sax thru an harmonizer or pitch shifter thing. I dont know, but you should follow my perception about these kind of diferent ideas that: could does it work or could it does´nt but by the way you find other many ways to make music speak for you. Good luck!

  • if you wanted us to hear the pedal itself, you wouldn't have used overdrive at all.

  • how does it work with heavy distortion/overdrive? particularly the higer octave.

does it sound just like 2 guitars are playing or does the sound get muddy?

  • knobception!

  • Hey guitarists, We heard you like knobs! So we added a Knob inside a Knob so you can level while you level

  • on the key knob there's 2 spots with no note name on them ,why ?

when turned clockwise [ key knob] the last spot turns the check light off,is this normal ?

    anybody knows something ?

  • Does it work with a saxophone???

  • if you play in a math-y band, just get the PS-5, thats what Nick from Tera Melos uses. it's easy to use and has some great effects. that being said, i do love the harmonist, and hopefully i'll own that one as well. when i can afford it haha.

  • sounds like allman brothers...

  • you are playing in a minor, but your knob is set to d?

  • @ 2:01 I hear 1 note at a time.

@ 2:18 I hear 3 notes (Octave high, Octave low, 4th below the top note).

@ 2:32 I hear 4 notes (Octave high, Octave low, 4th below the top note, 3rd above the top note).

  • Could i, in theory, do the solo from hotel california with one of these?

  • @derekswan144

Yeah, as well as a lot of Boston solos.

  • very cool pedal, have the super shifter-but this one has more options-must have

  • Can this simulate a 12-string well?

  • Dragonforce

  • LOL, this demo is better then world music suply's jason spencer or whatever his name is!

  • te felicito, muy buena muestra, ahora entiendo porqué suene como suena la guitarra de los stones roses en love spread...

  • lol a knob inside a knob 0:40

  • @ottozing hahahahahahaha WTF!

  • good luck trying to use this thing live. whammy pedal is way more functional- one knob and an expression unit vs. fiddling w/ 4.5knobs to achieve a mediocre sound. unless playing a set on your knees w/ one hand is how you like to do it.

  • sucks

  • I still think the Boss SE-70 makes the best Harmony sounds from a Boss product! Boss lost the plot after that

  • @joxnyyC4 whatch the PGS demo, it's awesome there. it sounds like crap on this vid

  • sucks...

  • The Digitech Harmony Man is better =/ I am dissapointed by this as Boss have made some really good effects

  • such a helpful video

  • what pedal would be similar to this one???

  • why are there 2 inputs and 2 outputs ?

  • @shittyfuck

Potentially the second input is for a rhythm guitarist, so the pedal detects the key of that guitarists playing. The second output is for stereo, so you could channel the harmonies into one amp and the dry sound into another.

  • can octave? mean, down 12 semitones (1 octave)

  • @gneeba what? Are you asking if it can go down an octave?

  • good demo really shows what you can do with it

  • Do you think you can use this to create that kinda fake bass guitar sound, like in some 2-man bands?

  • Why are you selling it?

  • Are you still selling it? how much?

  • Hey do they still make this pedal? I only see the boss super shifter now..

  • Try to play like the one or master of puppets harmonic parts from metallica

  • This pedal sounds amazing!

I'm really into synth sounds and the band i am in uses heavy synth sounds, i was wondering if the A and B nobs are completely smooth or if they lock at each interval when turning them? If you get me?

Coz if they're smooth could you put A just lower than 12 o'clock and B a lil lower than that, would it create a simple synth like tone?

  • is your ring for sale?

  • ...or use it for vocal as one of BBC's arch enemies of Dr.Who....The Daleks!! remember speak without emotions (stiff upper lip and all that sort of thing what!) pmsl just kidding but seriously it does sound like a Darlek

  • what if your guitar is tuned to eb does it adjust itself?

  • Yes. As long as it's in tune. Not partially... no slight flat or slight sharp. it must be just right

  • Did somebody used this on vocals? If so did it sound any good?

  • I love how the band ratatat uses this plus they reverse there riffs. Great band

  • So can you make it emulate only one voice rather than both the A and the B? Three guitars is cool but two sounds better sometimes.

  • Of course. Lol.. all you do is adjust the volume knob of A and B. If you want only one voice, pick A or B and then turn the other down counterclockwise to the left. It works great as a one harmony pedal. It is optimal in the clean setting as this guy shows in the demo. With Hi gain it can get very tricky. I've had this pedal since it first came out in like 98 or whatever and for years I hated it cause it worked for clean but not so well with distortion. Since then I've found that it does

  • The PS-5 is not only a harmonist but the other effects built in like the dive bomb mode are useless in my opinion. And the PS-5 has got only 1 Voice of harmonizing. Also its more expensive than the HR-2 on ebay or so. HR-2 is better!!! ;-)

  • The PS-5 is a wannabe Digitech Whammy... It's not even close. Get a Whammy instead

  • i got the ps-5 a week ago, and it wont work for me. i got it to work right once, but then it only play the higher part of the guitar harmony

  • ive had a ps-5 for a while. it does take some time to get it to work right and your guitar must be in tune. once you get it right it kicks ass

  • is the boss PS-5 super shifter better?

  • The super shifter does everything this does, and much more.

  • except its single voice and is full of crap you may not want.

  • yeah the ps-5 owns this pedal. i think it's more expensive, though

  • If you want 2 harmonies then get the harmonist, if you want 1 harmony and other cool effects then get the PS-5

  • its the same with more fetures, basicly the newer moddel

  • of course it is -.-''

  • I use this pedal for playing Thin Lizzy The Boys Are back in town. You cant tell there is not 2 Les pauls going. It is my second guitar player for the harmony solos. BUY IT THEY ARE GETTING RARE.

  • lols interesting choice of harmonies

  • can you go up the octave as well as down it for harmonies?

  • This is one of my favorite pedals! It has so many uses! It harmonizes which is really cool, to give you a fatter sound. It also gives you that sort of phasing sound, a slightly out of tune disharmonic sound. This to me is a wonderful freakiness. And it at some settings will make your guitar sound like a piano. It has the ability to make a single string fill-out as though you were playing a chord. And much more! I love it! Nice demo! Be well.

    Peace,

    \A/

  • Agree... and don't for get that Chorus sound that you can get with the Detune of both A and B. It's a phenomenal pedal

  • So this pedal makes it sound as if two guitars were playing at once. Except it makes is sound that they are playing the same riff just different pitch or whatever it is. (Ex. Master of Puppets clean solo)?

  • like the last part of the solo in hotel california

  • what happened to this pedal did it get replaced by digital delay pitch shifter ?

  • The Boss PS-5 Super Shifter has a harmonist in it. So yeah it was replaced i guess.

  • Can this pedal also transpose your playing into different keys?

Cause that would be so convinient rather than having to change your tuning every so often for different songs.

  • No, it only harmonizes for what key you are playing in.

  • Oh ok.

  • key =/= tuning

  • ac15 any good?

  • so lets say u just wanted to play one basic riff and only wanted to add z harmony to it with just one voice do u just turn the remaining voice's to zero volume i really want this pedal and i ahvent seen it at sam ash or guitar center ever can u tell me where u got it

  • they don't make it anymore...u can get it on ebay or sumthin tho

  • i figured that out allready but thanks lol but how can i know if its good quality or not like if it works well lol i dotnw ant to get ripped off

  • hmmm...idk lol i guess ur screwed. i want one too so im screwed to tho

  • You can't get them anymore. Good Luck bro. I love this pedal and would never sell it. If you know your theory and harmony it's quite useful. I play in a one guitar band so it along with my Whammy is essential. If you can find it get it. I paid like $190 for it new like 13 years ago so be prepared to pay. Warning: it doesn't work on batteries well like the DD-6 delay. It will eat them up in like a hour. You need a Power Supply for sure

  • lol thanks, im not even sure i want it as much anymore, especially after seeing that price lmao, but my theory for intervals and relative minor/major and keys is good for this, and power aint an issue at all i got room on my daisy chain. thanks for the info

  • What does DT stand for?

  • Detune

  • @jwuonog Dream Theater ;)

  • @jwuonog ditillio
