We had almost exactly the same experience at Mala Mala this year. A young male leopard wandered right up to the Land Rover , took a disinterested look at us, then hunkered down next to us as if we weren't even there. It was amazing. Also, a hyena was lurking some 30 feet behind the leopard, waiting for the leopard to kill something.
It looks like we even had the same ranger, Peter van W, if I'm not mistaken. Incredible experience.
Good grief - you lucky son of a gun. Just awesome. Beginning to wonder whether we should book you to come with us !! Staggeringly beautiful. We have been that close a few times and it is just phenomenal. Camera used ? What time of year ? Cheers
