Aliens is not just about the shooting, but also the suspense. This game seems to capture that to some degree, except for the music in this video. If I were playing all I would want to hear is the sound of the motion tracker, the rounds fired from my M41A pulse rifle and the echoes in the distance - that would be suspenseful. The "music" in this video completely destroys any sense of that.
I got this game on steam, my only three issues with it so far are:
1) The flares last like 5 seconds, you have to throw one every 5 seconds so you can see where the aliens are running. may as well just give the marine a pack of wooden matches.
2) No crouch key? all FPS games should have one while playing a human character at least.
3) Who picked the techno music for this game? this music is terrible even for techno!
Other then that, the game is pretty cool so far. I have had many great deaths!
yes but it doesn't need to be terrible techno music, they could have found some better sounding techno music I even like some techno. The voice acting is pretty bad too.

and the only part of the game with the techno is the night club part, they are on a base camp, and humans like to party, it was a great addition to the atmosphere. i think this game is well balanced and deserves a 8 if they had coop campaign that would be cool
You guys need to understand the demo is just dx 9 and not finalized.. this video is a final product of the game.. dx 10 and 11 and better improvements. The demo was more of a beta. So don't bitch how it sucked. I'm totally buying this!

Okay, it's not a good song, but at least it's a map where there is music on. That's the first I've seen for ages to have that. Most maps nowadays have no music at all, or just music in the background. But not really by the map itself. I like the idea.
Lol you DO realize that this was a one map dx 9 jam packed demo of a game where hundreds of people played (that's the lag). And of couse one guy executes while another executes because that was a small map packed with players and because that's the whole goal of the alien and predator races. You show me a human executing an alien or a predator pls :D I am sure that with the new content and graphics the game will be MUCH better for both single and multi player. So CHILL :D
do YOU realize that this was a preview of a single-player demo and that the "players" he was pitted against were actually just AI. meaning that you're incorrect and that the feeatured player just plain sucked.
Actually you may call it a small map but.... "The Refinery map seen in the demo, is of course in the main game as well. It did however, have tweaked weapon placements in order to allow players easier access to them, as well as being more optimal for 8 player matches. It is infact, a 12 player map and in the main game has a different weapon layout. To give a size comparison, our 18 player maps are larger than Refinery, and our 8 player maps are smaller than Refinery."
The aliens do spray acid blood when shot, it makes the screen all distorted and will kill you if you get to much on you. And the marines require health packs to stay. And the aliens are not large they are about the same size as human. even in the older alien movies the aliens were played by humans in a costume. basically everything you complained about is wrong. you=weaksauce. hopefully you won't not buy the game based on your wrong assumptions
@jslizzzle The 1st Alien was over 7ft tall, they scaled them down for Aliens bcus yea they were actors in suits..but Im pretty sure if CGI had been around they woulda stayed 7ft..

Why are the aliens so large in this game? Also, shouldn't they be spraying acidic blood everywhere when shot? Also, regenerating health = weaksauce.

in the mulitplayer demo you lose 1/3 of your health and get your vision distorted if you kill a alien right next to you and get hit by the acid
