  • The Skyliners also did a dynamite version.

  • Shady Dell. Most played song.

  • The GREAT "chuck willis" wrote this. And many others. Hear Chuck Willis' songs hear on You Tube.

  • CAN YOU PLEASE LIST THE FIVE ORIGINAL FIVE KEYS

BUT IT REALLY DID NOT MATTER MUCH WHO WAS BACKING UP THE FENOMINAL TENNOR VOICE OF RUDY WEST

  • @1940aris How about Maryland Pierce's voice doing the falsetto? He was just great.

  • do you have face of an angel????5 keys

  • Pure greatness.

    4-18-11

  • OH SO WONDERFUL AND GREAT JUST GOOD SLOW DANCIN MUSIC, THIS WILL LAST FOREVER.....

  • i have that original lp from the 50s with his thumb looking like something else, i'm sure it was unintentional

  • Do you have the photograph on the 5 Keys record album with the first guy's dum-dum hanging out? This was confiscated by the authorities in New Delhi back years ago.

  • oh how I remember this one woo hoo!! phyllis..

  • The Doo Wop group against which all others are measured

  • My very favorite slow dance....

  • all time "hood" classic

  • nothings ever as good as the original, but the three degree's came close

  • @ozman659 The original Peaches and Herb did a beautiful version as well.

  • Takes me to another time, another place when life was oh so simple

  • Takes me to another time, another place when life was simple.

  • my friends grandfather was in this group

  • It's been years since I heard this. I love it!!!! Had 4gotten about it. Thx 4 posting....Phyllis

  • A beautiful slow tune you could be romancing to with the one you love. The late great Rudy West's vocals just melts & soothes your heart & soul.

  • All of these songs reminds me of my mom and oldest sister. They were both beautiful and happy back then. My oldest sister was in Jr and Sr high back then and i lived in away thru her. Thats how I remember those year's. Thank God for memories because I have hated the last twenty year's.

  • The Best ever for dancing and

  • really is a great song.. thnx 4 posting

  • Of the thousands of doo wop songs of the early and mid-fifties, this one rates among the top 5 of all time.

  • I loved hearing this old favorite but was sadly disappointed because the last line where the background tenor says "I love you darling with

all my heart and soul" was left out.

  • The Skyliners did a really good cover- the original is still the greatest.

  • I grew up with doowop! Before tapeplayers. I had the badest '59 Chevy, Union, NJ carHop, only 12V Record player, and lots of 45's. played them in my car, everybody tried to fnd the station and I'd just laugh! Then I'd beat them with my 348 CC, 335 HP motor! What memories!

  • Sip and Sup ????????????

  • Wow!! You could be my twin...DooWop and great 50's cars...My first ever was a 56 BelAir, stock 265ci but swapped in a 409 from a 1962 Impala S/S when I was in the Air Force. The other guy couldn't afford the gas mileage. Kids today have nothing at all in the way of music to fall in love to.

  • Who wrote this amazing song?

  • Chuck Willis He had a hit with "WHAT AM i LIVING FOR" He wrote a bunch of hits. He died young from something really simple like the Country Singer Conway Twitty had. it was curable in they'd only gone to the doctor or hospital. THEMOJOMAN(.)COM He was one of my heroes

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you! Been searching for this for years and years.

  • AHH, that's romantic

    Thank you rosearlene922

  • Kool! I miss the DoWop sound.

  • My Aunt Vicki Young (Capitol Records) wrote "LET THERE BE YOU" with Dave Cavannaugh - The Five Keys covered the song and its AMAZING. Would love to see that song in a video on youtube...would mean the world to our family. My Aunt Vicki died last year.

  • Thanks for posting this song, love it very much.

  • "take a deep breath"..listen to the soprano singing 2nd lead behind Rudy West-whew---

  • Great Great Great!!!!

  • n i'm dating a girl whos grandfather is in this group :)

  • Very good!!! Well he did a great job, I love this song. What happened to all this kind of music? Hey, I think I remember my parents saying that ;-) LOL.

  • when I fell in love with Doo Wop, this was the reason. It's really just beautiful and nothing can compare to this type of music whether old or young

  • one of the nicest songs ever written, I have several of their records (45). I am looking for a copy of Don't You Know I Love You, by the Five Keys. Does anyone have one I can download.

  • Do you have "Dream On?" That's my favorite song by this group.

  • It is all hand written and in folders pertaining to different instruments. I also have pictures of them and concert posters. They are all in perfect condition.

  • I could be interested. can you tell me what's there and how much? thank you

  • LOL, can you elaborate on that statement?

  • I have their sheet music for all their songs! I bought them at a pawn shop and I am looking at them right now. This is crazy I had no idea they where big!

  • Very cool... In what state did you find the sheet music? Must be worth something if it was hocked. The music back then was so beautiful. It would be nice to see some of them remade and recirculated.

  • @KasbekMusik I'd love to get my hands on that lol

  • This was the one to dance to.

  • Recorded over fifty years ago, there is nothing better with scotch/rocks late in the evening or some great 'smoke' (I don't know for sure; just what I've heard on the street). Incidentally, could we maybe post this again, getting this entire tune down. Thanks ahead of time.

  • Hi...I have this byanother group somewhere..also r-b..but Bravo for sending out such unparalelled musical class as the 5 Keys, they could never be over-rated....

  • I know the Five Keys sang it in 1955, if anyone else remade it I'm not sure. But, know for sure that they did a great job on this one ;-).

  • I like this song- didn't someone else sing this song I seem to remember it differently

  • Peaches and Herb covered it in 1967 and then Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville did it in 1992. Still a great song but nothing compares to the Five Keys original.

  • You're RIGHT and CHUCK WILLIS wrote it. He had his own hits: WHAT AM I LIVING FOR and HANG UP MY ROCK&ROLL SHOES he died fairly young from something that was curable if he'd gone to a doctor. He's on WIKIPEDIA

  • Chuck had a lot more hits than just the two-sided hit that was out when he died. Things like It's Too Late (She's Gone), CC Rider, and Betty and Dupree are absolutely great examples of the "King of the Stroll"

  • Have you ever heard a better song to hear when you have a chick all alone.

This is how the Fifties were.
