personally i think, the lyrics to the english rap are totally irrelevant to the song and kinda stupid. Although not ALL english/Punjabi remixes are crap... just this one LOL
all kind of music can be mixed.. you see in different countries.. they have rap groups..
Arabic rap groups . french rap groups.. german..asian ..chinese,phillipines.. you name it brother..
ALl kind of music can be mixed together :) were seeing a fine example of this creativity all aroudn the world these days.. try searching for some of it. most of it is very good too
i totally disagrree with the dude who says english and punjabi dont go...i listen to both punjabi and rap and they are part of my culture and the way i have been brought up and a fusion represents me totally...and alot of other kids....
rhyme and rhythm, i think, is part of it, and u have that..but lyrics need meaning..
like, listen to pac or mos def..especially the song "respiration" by black star, there's meaning to the lyrics. idk, sry to offend if i did obviously ur taking it with an aewsome attitude, but i guess youtube is good place to hear ppl's honest opinions i suppose.
I grew up listening to rap when it was truly considered rap. My favorite artists are Tupac, Spice-1, MC Eiht, Too $hort, etc. I never got into the newer stuff because it just doesn't affect me the way that the old school does.
'Nachna Onda Nei" was a new challenge for me since I have done other rap songs with more meaningful lyrics. It was a great experience. Art is subjective and the opinions of others are guaranteed to vary significantly.
On your profile you write "I hate people and ideas who try to create disharmony among others. " The only thing I get from your comment is a person who is trying to create disharmony with a person you have never met and don't know anything about. So you don't like the remix and that is fine with me, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but why not message the artist and see what he is trying to express in his music because is just another form to express one self.
You sound a bit ethnocentric. If the English ruins the Punjabi, it could also be said that the Punjabi ruins the English. This song fuses the two languages and the English adds a Western story that corresponds with the Punjabi lyrics. Punjabi music has been using English infusion for many years now.
You're entitled to your own opinion and, besides, if you don't like it, don't listen to it.
Rap needs to stay with its own stuff, because this simply doesn't match with the Punjabi. The Punjabi is obviously the highlight of this song, not the English, so the English is ruining the Punjabi. And it's not that I'm saying in general English is worse, because I have my love for English music, but this rap doesn't match at all with the Punjabi. It's not fused, it's just two opposite styles that certainly do not complement each other. True rap is from people like 2Pac or Biggie, or Mos Def.
so cool

Thanx for all of your feedback. As with every work of subjective art, some love it and some hate it.
