  • Hi Laura! I live in Spain and the butter sticks are different than the one you use. How many grams has the butter stick?

  • @adrimvolpe hey, 1 stick is 1/4 pound or 113 grams. plus, dont let stuff like cup measurements get in ur way of baking. conversions are really easy to find out on google. whenever i see a recipe i like and it's in grams, i use google to convert it :) hope this helps :)

  • @Flouhh you can search on google for cups to grams and you'll find a list that tells you how many gram one or 1/2 cup is :) or you can buy messering cups in kitchen supply stores for me its so much easier to use cups :))

    aww poor you that nearly happened to me but i just glued it back together with some choclate frosting thetn just carried the recipe on it was TOTALLY delicious u must think im nuts for glueing it together liek that but im 12 i had to use something! i just love chocolate cake!

  • You say it has to be "pure cocoa" but then you contrasted that against hot chocolate mix.(?)  There are 2 kinds of baking cocoa, one is "pure", the other is dutch-processed. Given that your recipe uses buttermilk (acidic) and your cupcakes were very dark, did you used dutch-processed? If so that might explain why some of the comments complained that their cupcakes didn't rise if they used pure cocoa.

    I wanted to make this, I have pure cocoa on hand, but it's not clear what you used.

  • @pigANDalien Its almost a 'sour milk" and you will not get the same result using whole milk. However, to your whole milk, add 2 teaspoons of white vinegar or lemon juice and allow this to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. This will curdle the milk, which is almost what buttermilk is. This mixture will give the same result as buttermilk.

  • @analov87 just use normal full fat milk thats what i use in my vanilla cupcakes and it works.

  • @shevis0grl you can keep them up to 3 days in the a airtight container in the fridge but they are best on the day you make them.

  • @sabinyaeh add 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice into 1 cup of milk, mix well and sit for 10 mins:) then u can use it as buttermilk:):)

    Oreos*, they are cookies with cream inside. And it all depends of your personal taste like some people like turkish delight some don't. Some are vegetarians , some love meat. You don't have to spread hate for nothing.
