since shazam and other simmilar engines can recognize music trough humming, singing the song,or in this case part of real music,it,s maybe futurmore possible for those engines to future compress music to save extra space on the iphone etc,,by identifying the chorus, refrain and other repeated parts of a song including silence and then removing those repeated parts and then telling the decoder in wich order to play those repeated parts to reconstruct the original music back simmilar to mod files
Hey, your vid is awesome, but can I ask u something, coud u find me the name of a song, i've tried it on many Song Finder and I cant find it ! message me for the youtube link ! :)
I am not sure what's the purpose of this. I mean, if I play a song to be recognized, it means I already know the song; so the purpose is not to find out who sings what.
If it's used just to tag songs, then I already have Tune Up for iTunes.
@luigicamp69 If you hear a song on the radio or at a restuarant or anywhere else and you really like the song but you dont know what its called... this would be useful.
I hate how it costs so much now today.
but I heard it works really well!

Well, I never listen to the radio, so that's maybe why. Or if I do, it's online, and it that case I already see the name of it.

Is there a better reason why I should get Shazam?

Not true

it is true... it only knows 1 of 3 tested songs
HSFilms 3 years ago
yeah.... maybe it'll improve with updates
fuzetsu490 3 years ago 2
No, it is not. I've tested it out with both popular songs and obscure songs. It has recognized 99% of what I've given it. It works.
sends2aaron 3 years ago
it only works with mainstream rubbish...that's what i found out
