Millions of people, including myself, are willing to take the bet that man-made climate change is a hoax. Look at the history of science and you'll see that most discoveries are what you describe as "reverse scientifice method": for example the helio-centric model of the universe and special relativity. Scientist don't just do random experiments and build conclusions from them, they need paradigms and guiding principles. A conclusion isn't the same as a hypothesis. The thought that, due to man made climate change, we must buy unnecessary items like CFL lightbulbs, carbon credits, etc... That is a conclusion, and they had that practically before any hypothesis was made. A hypothesis would be like: "The climate is warming. This is because [insert list here]" Then, you're supposed to reliably test that hypothesis, not produce bullshit, which is practically what a large amount of the science community has been doing

The IPCC has only 2,500 experts on global warming. Less than 1% are Climatologists. Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC is not a Climatologist, but an engineer. Al Gore is not a Climatologist. 31,486 scientists, including 9,029 with PhDs, plus 650 of the worlds top Climatologists are all against global warming. 32,136 = against global warming to 2,500 = for global warming. There is no consensus among scientists concerning this issue. Global warming does not exist. It is a myth!

CO2 levels have been higher in the past mate, but not in millions of years. According to a UCLA study, the last time carbon dioxide levels were this high was 15 million years ago. For the past 10k years or so, CO2 levels have remained steady at 260-280PPM, only to shoot up to 385PPM in the last two centuries.

I am correcting my post.500 million years ago C02 levels were 20 times more then today. Greenland was green until the ice age 20,000 years ago.C02 levels increase in the fall therefore being critical of the current C02 ppm is not averaging the measured levels which do decline in the spring. That's not at all what I implied. Laws are made to "protect" people. Then there are laws made to "protect" people in such a way (like your worry about CO2) that actually wind up generating more taxation and placing more restraint on us. As was noted in this debate, there are periods in history where the climate trends downward where levels of CO2 were higher. Unfortunately, this data is discounted and hidden from Americans who vote on these issues. Fortunately, that "trend" is going away.

If you factor the sun's effect right now we should have cooler temps according to many scientist, so the difference is best explained by CO2.

The Lake Vostok study indicates that CO2 levels increased 19 times over 420,000 years - well within the wobble cycle. The University of Melbourne study shows that the wobble caused rapid melting of ice in both hemispheres - and ended the last major ice age 18,000 years ago. If we reduced carbon emissions to zero, we will still have global warming for the next 3,000 years, like it or not.
