@ipodtouchacker The guy in that video is simply experienced and has used magnetic balls for a while. He could do the same with other brands as well. The balls of all brands are very close to each other in diameter and strength that determines usability in general. What makes a huge difference is quality - how consistently they can manufacture balls with the same diameter and strength, and how durable coating they developed.

There are so many different brands of thesis magnets but which one is the best, some are cheaper and other stuff like that what do u recommended other than Nanodots.

I tried this with my measly 216 magnets and I cannot figure out how big to make the shapes. :(

Check the formulas I provided in the description.

Start by a hexagon with a side length of 4 and add the new layers on top and below of it.

Én csak nagyon hosszú idő után tapasztaltam olyat, hogy egy-két golyón keletkezett egy apró fekete pötty, ahol lejött a bevonat. De rengeteget használtam már, mielőtt ez előfordult, szal meglepő hogy nálad pár nap után már ilyen. Biztos hogy Neocube-ot vettél, és nem valami mást, vagy utánzatot?

Well they are quite strong, so I don't suggest putting them too close :) At least 10cm / 4 inches I would say.

Yeah I've written in the description that you can complete this shape to an octahedron by continuing to add layers at the square surfaces.
