Full contact is full contact, but the rules still remain basic. Hajime means start, Yame means stop. If you continue to attack after Yame is called you are normally reprimanded with a Jogai, or disqualification and asked to immediately leave the complex, without your belongings. But this definitely works as an alternative to that.

ok.. on the back of the neck there a dint right where the skull attaches to the spine on eaither side and down a asmall bit, if you hit there with a cocked knuckle ( the one on your thumb) it WILL knock them out for a breif second depending on the pressure, its a pressure point.
It looks to me like the ref grabbed the guy's throat with his left hand and punched him in the back of the neck with his right hand. The guy in the black Gi had just been sparring for 4 or 5 minutes or longer and would have been fatigued and so would have gone down pretty quick anyway. The two kicks to the head were totally unecessary - but technically brilliant...
The Ref used a Brachial stun pressure point strike. It can be found on the sides of the neck wrapping around to the back. It doesn't take alot of force to knock someone out using it. The stun would have stopped the fighter. the Ref. needs to be charged with the kicks to the head.
This is coming from a long time martial artist in different arts, and a local law enforcement defensive tactics instructor.
P.S.1 in 13 people do not feel pressure point strikes like other poeople.

The fighter in the blue was showing no control nor technique. He was just street fighting. Even under kyokushin rules, punches to the face are not allowed. This was just stupid. Full contact bare knuckle punches to the face are disallowed by all governing bodies in every martial arts style. This is done for a reason.

ok.. on the back of the neck there a dint right where the skull attaches to the spine on eaither side and down a asmall bit, if you hit there with a cocked knuckle ( the one on your thumb) it WILL knock them out for a breif second depending on the pressure, its a pressure point.

It looks to me like the ref grabbed the guy's throat with his left hand and punched him in the back of the neck with his right hand. The guy in the black Gi had just been sparring for 4 or 5 minutes or longer and would have been fatigued and so would have gone down pretty quick anyway. The two kicks to the head were totally unecessary - but technically brilliant...

The Ref used a Brachial stun pressure point strike. It can be found on the sides of the neck wrapping around to the back. It doesn't take alot of force to knock someone out using it. The stun would have stopped the fighter. the Ref. needs to be charged with the kicks to the head.
This is coming from a long time martial artist in different arts, and a local law enforcement defensive tactics instructor.
P.S.1 in 13 people do not feel pressure point strikes like other poeople.
