The right Shift key is awkwardly placed after the up arrow key, making it pretty much useless for touch-typists. Adding insult to injury, there is wasted, blank space between the up arrow button and the question mark key, where the Shift key should have been.
I do agree with the video's comment that the OS is quite limited. It runs a customized Xandros which is less customizable than Ubuntu and/or Xubuntu which can also be put on the Eee PC. There's even eeeXubuntu which includes the Eee PC's hardware drivers out of the box.
of all of the 'netbooks' or 'sub-notebooks' that ive seen so far, this one is by far the best. msi Wind looked promising but this one defeats it at every turn
i fink i gots it wrong too!!! but im not sure it could be the 901!? or the 100 i actually can't keep track!! damn asus bringin out new computer left right and centre!!! GOSH!!!
yeh sorry it is the 1000. i just had a look on other websites and they compared the 901 and it is bigger, and it has a spinning hard drive and lots more, so yes this is actually the eee pc 1000 (just looks like the 901, but the 1000 is noticeably bigger then the 901) ;)
from engadget "New 6-cell battery offers up to 7.5-hours of battery for Eee PC 1000, 7 hours for Eee PC 1000H The "H" in the Eee PC 1000(H) model means hard drive, yes, hard drive up to 80GB. A first for an Eee.The Eee PC 1000 will max-out with a 40GB SSD Fully equipped with 802.11n and Bluetooth Intel's Atom across the board
$658 & $625 for H"
according to engadget, the SSD version doesnt have windows but i hope so (program i need to use only runs on windows)

rml695 3 years ago
if you mean it is overpriced, its $100 less then the cheapest, yet has more battery life, and a newer processor.
what? huh?
lrossi888 3 years ago
ooop, sorry, i thought that this video was for the Aspire One, lulz, yes this machine is overpriced :P
lrossi888 3 years ago
