Nice video. waiting for another one (with top VIM features). Vim is an editor, which you can learn till your death, finding it more and more powerful and comfortable for using! (I'm even using it for simple java projects).
If you are on Linux, use "key-mon" tool when recording Vim screencasts. It's really helpful to see what keys are being pressed. (it's available on code.google.com)
Thanks for the demo of some Vim plugins. I'm new to Vim so learning about some of the plugins that can make me much more productive than in Textmate is a big help.
Oh, I couldn't help but notice you had an insane amount of white space for your tabs (8 spaces?)... is that the default tab distance for Surround or is that just a setting you like?
Adding your voice afterwards is kinda obvious. You wait for your recorded self to type something to remind yourself of what to say next. Perhaps if you had scripted this? Or were more confident? I don't know; but generally speaking, when screencasting, it's better for viewers if your voice leads, rather than the video itself.
Beyond that, great job. Thanks for the recommendations!
@evaryont yeah, probably wasn't the best idea, I don't plan on doing it that way again, I was going to do it with NO sound but then I found it was pretty hard to understand and my mic was being weird so I added some later.
so there you go, next time I will do better, thanks for your comment!
Awesome! Great compilation of plugins and instructions. Cheers

@MrTutcasts Thanks for the tips! Btw I like your color scheme, can you share it?
P.S. Didn't FuzzyFinder have some issues? I think that you need to install some additional library for it to work.. (maybe it changed though)

SnipMate seems quite similar to the built-in ":ab" (:abbreviate) command.
FuzzyFinder seems quite similar to :set wildmenu wildmode=longest:full
NERDTree is excellent! It's even better because I can configure it to hide unwanted files (like *.o, *.pyc, *.class, .svn, .hg, .git).
Cool → "Since vim 6.0, matchit.vim has been included in the standard vim distribution."

Errors at 4:01 produced by TComment?

Nice video. That :wq at the end is what I call a sense of humor, LOL.
I don't like NERDtree this days. I think Netwr is a lot more powerful. I do use it even for browsing my files as a commander (two pane) replacement.
Perhaps you want NERDcommenter instead of Tcomment. Check it out if you havent already.
When working in *nix environments it is no so necessary, but thanks for suggesting MRU and FuzzyFinder. #installing!!
Cheers.

FuzzyFinder also does MRU via the `:FufMruFile` command, so you don't need the MRU plugin if you already use FuzzyFinder!
