I don't know what's happening in hockey. Was this a cheap shot? Sure. But I've been watching NHL for 30+ years and you used to see this stuff all the time. Those are 2 different situations, the carcillo hit was at the end of the game with a minute left, he hadn't taken a faceoff the entire game and hes didn't even play on that line - that is a intent to injure. Cammalleri's situation was Havlat was talking shit the whole game, they were getting into each others faces, its the first playoff game so emotions are high and it was in the middle of the game.

people have been saying that camalleri's elbow and carcillos were exactly the same, but they weren't!!!! Carcillo was taking the face-off while camalleri was not. There is way more evidence that camalleri was intentionally trying to injure havlat than there is that carcillo was trying to injure talbot. Before seing this i defended mike, he's a great player, but now I think Camalleri definitely should have been suspended.
