Why don't you bag them in Oxygen when they are transported? If not use a battery powered pump to keep them alive! Poor fish!

was the system running for a few weeks before you added fish?
if it's a new tank, ammonia can build up and kill fish if beneficial bacteria (~ one month) are not present
