  • All the guitars on this song are Perry and Whitford. Next somebody's going to say it was Joe Satriani. 'Tards.

  • this album will never get old. this tune is just kicikin ass.

  • This is back when bands were REAL bands and they made REAL music instead of Techno-Machine CRAZY shit!

  • Great Great Jam, Need I say more.

  • That's Steve Hunter doing the solos on the on the first part, Dick Wagner on the so-called live version. The record company brought them in to embellish this album. Hunter and Wagner were uncredited so as not to spoil the marketing illusion that Aerosmith were doing it all themselves. Now you know why this is the best Aerosmith record. .

  • @MajorSecord Rock is all about image and posing. If you appreciate the music, you should be honest and give credit where credit is due

  • @MajorSecord

Really? How do you know that's even true?

  • @MajorSecord Where do these stupid stories get started? Aerosmith used guest artists for saxophone and banjo, but never for guitar. At least not on any of their great albums (1 - Rocks, that is.)

  • i play my guitar with the amp on high, this song rocks

  • follow me

  • i also play drums

  • all aboard!!!!

  • I play guitar to this song

  • this is my wake up song

  • here's trivia for you all: Joe and Brad aren't playing the solos. Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter are the soloing guitarists for this one because the producer of this album was retarded

  • This is what I call Rock N' Roll! All the new crap of theirs are watched way more, you can't beat the old A->Smith!

  • Isn't it sad what became of these guys. They should have quit after, "Night In The Ruts".

  • Yardbirds did it first but Aerosmith did it the best! This is what's known as rock'n'roll, kiddies.!

  • I can't see too many others besides Perry taking it to the wall on this song but him, if any. Few, I'll put it that way. Originality is hard to come by nowadays, glad you posted this song, thanks )

  • joey muthafuckin diaz

  • Joey Diaz !!!!!!!!!

  • My all time favorite Aerosmith tune and album... 2:05 on is the best part of this song.... especially the drums!

  • My all time favorite Aerosmith tune and album...

  • @dressblues7 exactly!

  • i hope dstgermain2011 ain't right...cuz this is the most devastating shit ive heard from these guys.

  • No guitarist from aerosmith actually played the lead solo in the studio, fleetwood mac guitarist previous to lindsey buckingham was the actual lead soloist and arranged the licks in the studio.

  • everyone should know spaidogram pictures was only joking around. you guys need to calm down and listen to music.

  • rockrib2000 your right there with rockin song just season of wither got to me more deeper

  • Arguably the best fugging Aerosmith tune ever done. Joe Perry was in his prime as a guitar god with this song, and the rest of the boys were at their best. I started listening to these guys in 1972 and this tune from Get Your Wings is timeless.

  • Joe perry was not a guitar god then, and not in his prime when this album was recorded. That's why they hired Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter to come in and record the guitar solos for this song and Same old song and dance.

  • @resistance6 I used to argue against this, but I concede that it's probably Wagner and Hunter on this song, but now its expanded to Same old Song too?

  • @Exilemainstreet I got that from the wikipedia page of the album "Get Your Wings". Scroll down to "Additional personnel".

  • @rockrib2000 1 year ago, ? anyhow this is not an Aerosmith song. A cover... forget who, but still fucking bad ass, better than original!

1951 "Train Kept A-Rollin" is a song written by Tiny Bradshaw, wikipedia comes through again!

  • @rockrib2000

    got THAT RIGHT, BUDDY!!!!

  • @rockrib2000 thats the legendary dick wagner on guitar you dumbass

  • @pinkfloydLIB1990 And I'm Dick Tracy. It's Joe Perry, when he could actually play.

  • Tyler owes alot to his Dad, who taught him alot about music theory. Tyler made the best of what the old man shared....

  • great tune to drink and screw too!!!!!!!

  • reminds me to some good acid before the navy started drug testing,we listened to this alot.....n.a.s.Miramar 78

  • I used to not like this but now it's awesome. Aerosmith at their best! even though it's a cover

  • this song was actually made by jesus. when him and satan had a guitar battle in the lost abyss, in the year 20, jesus started playing this song. while he was at the solo, jesus' gibson 999 fret guitar neck caught on fire because it couldnt handle the speed.... satan never had a chance to play because before he knew it he lost because jesus was playing notes that never existed. jesus owned satans ass because this song is beast. true story. i was there. awesome song. HAIL JESUS!! GOD OF ROCK!!!!

  • I have an Epiphone Heavenbird. Love it!

  • firebird?

  • lmao i laughed so hard at that. you're not serious tho right? thats what i thought.

  • So, you no like soldier boy??

  • youl find out. ya fuck.

  • @spaidogrampictures hahahaha

  • it was the Yardbirds who made the original, and Jimmy Page wrote this. Page saw Aerosmith do this when they were just a small band and loved the cover.

    :]

  • LOL! The song is by Led Zeppelin. Everything after that was just covers by other bands. To tell ya the truth allot of the bands did good covers of it. Tardbirds, GNR (did it live) Aerosmith......and a few others that escape my mind right now. They all did a good god in there own style.

  • wtf are u talking about? lol led zeppelin didnt do the original but their version isnt bad, i personally like aerosmith's the best tho

  • To Everyone!!! YES I WAS WRONG....LOL :) But I am still confused......Who wrote this song AND who originally recorded it FIRST.

  • The Yardbird's version of Train kept a rollin is also a cover. The ORIGINAL version was written by Tiny Bradshaw, Howard Kay, and Lois Mann. The original version had a lot of blues. It's interesting to see how this song shows how blues evolved into rock.

  • It's an old blues song from the fifties

  • yeah dick wagner is a good guitarist.

but can he come up with riffs like joe and brad?

    this is a cover.

many bands have covered this song.

    yardbirds

    zeppelin

    etc...

  • I think he's trying to give Wagner his due since people alwaysd think this is Joe and Brad. Also, DW has played with a lot of people. Wagner has played lead guitar or written songs for Aerosmith, Lou Reed, Burton Cummings, KISS, Meat Loaf, Steve Perry, Ringo Starr, Etta James, Peter Gabriel, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Air Supply, Hall & Oates and many more. He's no slouch.

  • what's amazing is dick wagner's guitar playing in this

  • FUCKING AMAZING!!
