ON ANY TYPE OF FUEL TO BURN I HAVE A POSTWAR #2159W SET MADE BY LIONEL IN 1950 WITH A BRUNSWICK GREEN #2330 GG1 ENGINE THAT IM ALMOST DONE RESTOREING THE ONE I HAVE WAS WAS A ONE YEAR ONLY SET AND ONLY CAME WITH FRIEGHT CARS I LIKE PASSENGER CARS BETTER BUT I THINK THERE GREAT ENGINES AND I THINK ANY COLLECTOR THAT LIKES THE PRR RAIL ROAD SHOULD OWN AT LEASE ONE GG1 SET BY WHAT EVER MAKE TRAIN OUTFIT YOU LIKE
THAT IS A BEAUTFUL SET FROM THE ENGINE TO THE LAST PASSENGER CAR AND IT CAME IT AT 100 POUNDS THATS 20 POUNDS MORE THEN THE NYC HUDSON YOU SHOWED US BUT I HAVE TO ASK WHATS THE SMOKE UNIT FOR I SEE LIONEL AND MTH DOING THIS ALSO TO THERE NEW GG1 ENGINES I FISRT THOUGHT THE GG1 WAS AN ELECTRIC & DIESEL POWERED ENGINE THEN I WAS TOLD IT WASNT A DIESEL IT ONLY RAN ON ELECTRIC SO PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHY ARE THE GG1 ENGINES HAVEING SMOKE UNITS INSTALLED??? I LIKE BUT IF IT DOSENT RUN
Now that is the most ridiculously packaging I have ever seen for a model train, But I got to hand it to USA Trains for the amount of detail that goes into their locomotives!
@ShellShock1967 The engine weighs almost 80 pounds and has to be shipped by a UPS type shipper. How would you package an item this expensive to get to it destination? The think the word for packaging like this is prudent.
can you power it with battery or not

How come you can't touch the pantographs?
ekoslosky 1 year ago
@ekoslosky Because they are fragile and eletrically operated. USE YOUR OWN BRAIN!
