please answer my question, i got the evo in the states, had lots of hills, loved it, moved back to my moms in canada and its flat, no hills to bomb, so ive been tryin to do standies lately but i can only get to about 90 then i bail, my trucks are really tight and i have to take my trucks apart to loosen them. I want to buy a switchblade, but i cant afford it at the moment, can someone help me with my problem?
that would be your opinion. i have ridden probably 20 different types of trucks, and bears are probably in the bottom 5 as far as quality of ride goes. so my opinion is that they are shitty.
@Ri1seAgainst stims would be really drifty. you might want a grippy wheel if you plan on doing downhill. a evo lose alot of grip due to the drop deck design
so downhill wheels for a evo would be: abec 11 centrax, nersh money hax, landyatchz monster hawgs> abec 11 bigzigs.
you do realize that the evo was designed around randal dh trucks, right? due to the wedge in the front, the angle with bears would be around 67 degrees, making for a really funky turn.
@dstolman48 that is just so wrong. evos are made for bear trucks and precisions. bear and lanyachtz are ajoined companies. the same as loaded and orangatang. ( which is a shame because loaded sucks but orangatang is sick) but seriously. do some reserch before you post confusing stuff.
@mexhatdancer watch a couple DH videos, a lot of people use the evo for all types of courses from strait DH to tech and freeride. Its all up to your skill, and set up.
@TheKidDwnTheRoad what the fuck? r u retarded? evo is a downhill board, apex 37 is a carving board, what the hell do u wanna do with ur longboard? u dont just ask which one u should get
lol evo man... it has less flex it has more concave and camber and the apex has so much flex and is a pretty much flat bored.. its still awesome though
lol cant even tuck

DOOD! ur so gud, r u sponsured?
WhereIsNumNum 7 months ago
seriously, research it. the evo was designed around 35* 160mm randal trucks, not shitty ass bears that make the front angle 67* and feel like crap.
just because they are the same company, doesn't mean they are made for each other. you don't see any drop carves with $300 smokies.

@dstolman48 I don't think you should call Bear trucks shitty, seeing as they're some of the best on the market.

@123456789longboard
Yeah you're actually wrong. With the +15* Wedging on the front, you'd be at 67*, like Dstolman said, which is NOT suitable for a downhill skateboard.

this vid really helped, i was thinking it couldnt carve but now i know it can
